not only is it like that, it is that. not to be confused with the one on the hassayampa river in wickenburg, that video is the box canyon in florence. fun ride, and lots of options with off shoots. martinez cabin and mine, coke ovens, cottonwood canyon, telegraph canyon. great area to ride.

I think you'd be OK on your Verys, Rick.

To clarify, I agree that this it completely doable on a versys. Just might lead to some dings and scrapes. Thats all I meant to say..
I just dont envision a bike like that as one that I'd care to take down those trails. YMMV

I'm with you on that. I did bring a GSA to the ovens once, but that was just stupid.

Ride Saturday

For anyone that might be interested on a ride Saturday a few guys are going to ride around the Pinal Mountain by Globe. The plan is to meet at Queen Creek Café at 7:00 for breakfast then ride the Florence Kelvin highway to Globe via the 77. If anyone wants we can stop quickly at Cochran and then explore the Pinal Mountain. We can head back Via the 60 to save time. Anyone that would like to go is welcome but keep in mind that I ride a bit slower than most.

Great Ride

All,

Had a wonderful time today I just wish the temp in the valley is the same as the top of the mountain.

On I sad note I was informed that my next door neighbors died in a car accident I really liked them and my heart goes out to thier family.

It really makes you think how precious life is. I won't be riding this weekend as we are getting ready for the Colorado trip. 7 days of cool weather If anyone has any do not miss sights or backroads in the Durango area please let me know.

I'm sure you're well aware of the Million Dollar highway, right?

Nice San Juan Mountain/Alpine loop.

Have fun.

Yep,

I am definitely riding the million dollar and the Imogene Pass. I hope the carb works at that altitude.

Take Engineer Pass (via Animas Fork) out of Silverton to Lake City, then back on Cinnamon Pass. Nice day ride. If nothing else, ride as far as Animas, it's a cool little ghost town east of Silverton.

While you're at animas go up to California pass. The approach is beautiful even if you don't go to the top.

+1 on the alpine loop
