Looks like we'll be alright as long as we get out of there by 8 or so.

118... WTF am I getting myself in too?

If you want we can start earlier. I would hate to see you sleep in too late and miss out on all the fun.

Just don't bump the switch for your heated grips. I love turning on the heated seats in my car for my passengers.

They think they are having a medical episode.

Any of you east siders happen to have the Honda clutch tool for removing the clutch on a 2011 Shadow? Honda part number 07JMB-MN50301 for the center plate, and 07HGB-001020B for the 4 collars.

For the last 2 months, I've been on a 48 State cross country ride. On the 23rd, I left a friend's house in California, crossed Death Valley, went through Pahrump and Vegas, and crossed the bridge between Boulder City and Kingman. There was a pretty nasty headwind crossing the bridge, near 40mph or so. The second I hit AZ soil, my clutch slipped and stripped out on me. Stranded on the side of US93 until a tow truck could bring me to Kingman, then I rented a Uhaul to bring me the rest of the way home after a 13,000+ mile ride.

At least it happened outside of Death Valley, and at the very end of my trip. I was headed home after putting a tire in every contiguous US state.

I've got a Barnett clutch rebuild kit on order and should be arriving in a couple days.

In the meantime, I'm down to my XR600 and my truck.

If anyone has the Honda tool and is willing to loan it out for a few days (or even willing to mentor me on clutch rebuilds!) I'd really appreciate the loan and/or help. I'd be willing to throw a few shekels your way to offset your cost of the tool. PM me with info if so.

Otherwise, I'll try and fabricate one. Honda wants $180 for the tool.
