Directions, information of the terrain, info on the farm house......I was wanting to ride today but the rain forecast put a kabosh to them plans. I missed a ride last Satruday and was not a happy camper at the end of the weekend. Looks like this weekend could be the same....

meetup plans

Okay, there are a couple of alternatives. We could meet for coffee on a Wednesday night to say "hi," or just plan a ride for next weekend, maybe next Saturday morning? (I am getting a little burned out on riding Hawes on my mountain bike every week.) I have stuff I want to do this weekend, though. Explore Rolls, or Sycamore area next Sat.? I could ride there if I have to.

What do you think?

I just watched the clip on this place and it looks like some really good eating going on. I have been to two places here in the valley that has been on DDD. The one mexican food place in Tempe (forgot the name) for lunch was OK. The other place here in the NW valley (The Pits Again) BBQ place sucked.

I need to try Joes Farm Grill........

Oh and go for a ride also.

Ride?

So if I am reading this right there is a meet up tomorrow and maybe a ride? Is this all weatehr dependant? I can do a big bike easy ride with my ankle first day out of the boot? What say you fine folks?

Welllllll, I say stay home and rest your ankle. There will be a lot of mud and a very good likelihood of you having to throw down a foot for stability. If you re-injure it then Bob will have to wait that much longer to pass on the trophy to you.
It was a little slick out today so if you do decide to be foolish then be careful and HAVE FUN!

Ok

I was reading this as a breakfast meet up and easy ride but I guess it is not? I will be taking it easy as I can not afford to have a set back with the ankle with my golf. Was more looking for a cruise.

It may be a cruise but either way the chance of doing more harm is there. Relax a little while longer so you don't have a set back. Just saying.

If you all are talking about the Farmhouse in downtown Gilbert, that place is small and gets really packed. It's great food but probably not a good location for a meet up because it will take us a while to seat a group in the morning.

Joe's Real BBQ
is ok. I'd say a 7 out of 10 but a much better place to meet although I don't think they do breakfast.

But Joe's Farm Grill is, IMO, a perfect location to meet in the mornings and a good launching point for east valley ride.

BTW, riding the Apache Trail when it's raining is FANTASTIC!

Unfortunately I have plans for tomorrow or else I would go. I'll be doing an easy (mostly sand wash) ride through Rolls with Rob on Monday. He'll be on his (new to him) trike so no steep gnarly uphill climbs. If anyone wants to work on their sand skill then let me know.

Well, I'm new to the Dual Sport scene but not to riding. Been riding for 40+ years. I live 5 houses from the base of Superstition Mntn. so I think I may qualify for this group of "east of Phoenix Riders Group." Always interested in rides. I just subscribed to this thread so I'll keep checking in to see what's coming up.

Heading down to Dual Sport Desert Daze next weekend, anybody else?

I'm game for a meet-up on this Weds. evening at Joe's Farm Grill (not Farmhouse, and not in "downtown" Gilbert). Should we plan it? Can you go Don H?

Yes, riding apache trail in the rain is pretty cool.

I'd be up for Joe's Farm Grill meet sometime. I won't be able to do anything this week. I'm taking off for Dual Sport Desert Daze on Thursday sometime, so I have a lot to get done during the week to take some time off.
