Well, if everyone shows up it could get a little cozy. I don't mind getting another room, let me know if you are on the list and it is a maybe or if you are not on the list and it is a definite. Thanks, Paul

Jack,
Just an FYI round trip from Grand Forks to Mesa less than $300. Should I get the ticket? I have spare bikes and Nadja won't bite if you don't try to pet her.

This is my rear Pirelli MT21 Rallycross after 2,161 miles of abuse. Another 140/80-18 MT21 is $92 to order. I was thinking of trying the Kenda K760 Trakmaster II $67 but its made in a 120/100-18. Would that still work or would it be best to just get a 140?

Hell, that tires still got another ride or two left in it! Just quit riding on the street so much!

I have a Heidenau K60 scout. I am at about 6K miles and about 50% tread. Bill had a K60 without the scout part and it only went about 2k miles and didn't get traction for shiz,so it is an important detail. I think I paid just over $100 for mine, but I remember Dillon saying that the manufacturer raised prices right after I got mine.
Jack runs the Kenda and seems to like them alot. He did mention that with the front tire it had a wicked drop for the first bit of riding until it broke in and he got used to it.

dirtbiker,, i'm in the market for a lite jacket,,, how do you like that fly patrol?

crown,, trakmaster is pretty good in sand, and thats it. you'll trash that tire inside of 1k miles easy.

I really like the patrol jacket, I bought one size bigger to accommodate the armour I wear under it (Alpinestar bionic 2) and it works perfectly. There's a lot of ventilation (front, back and top of the shoulders) the sleeves can zip off too if you're wearing a motocross vest under it which is nice for enduro type riding in the winter. I also like that the pockets are big and secure very nicely with a zipper and Velcro flaps, they're also aligned in such a way that you can get gloved hands into and out of them quite easily.

The only negative I have about the jacket is that it has no built in armour, so you have to have something underneath it which makes it a little more time consuming to put on, but I'll rather take the extra 30 seconds needed to slide my arms into the under armour and zip it up than to go with out and need it somewhere down the road.
Other than that, it's a good jacket for its price.

Hope that helps.

hellooo desert dwellers!

Figured it was time to stop lurking and introduce myself.
Moved to Tempe 3 years ago, traded in the car for my first(street legal) bike..a klx250s, and haven't stopped grinning since .

SO much great info on here for a new rider-from engines to accessories-still trying to devour it all...but the best way to learn is to do!-so lets ride!

Great community you guys have here-and SO many amazing ride reports from around the world!

I know the 250 isn't ready to keep up with some of the longer/highway rides but I'd love to tag along for a short trail ride or somethin' one of these days!

Cheers,

Max

So glad to see you around here uncle Mil.

hope to see that beast Raptor in the future. I'm glad I don't have any mirrors because if you drive that thing like you ride then I don't want to see you breathing down my neck out on the trail.
