Looks a bit like my 990's "commute" road, South of Paul Bartlow Rd., overlooking Hood River, to the rider's right.
My GPS and Google Maps call it Kingsley Reservoir Rd, and it eventually ties into that one-lane paver to the Res on the North end.

But we have Sooooooo Maaanyyy roads that look just like that here,

Well it was not raining and a ride was in order for "International Female Ride Day"! Also "TourPros" birthday party started on Friday night so we did what we are so good at and took the longway or some times also known as the wrongway!

Found some nice wet rocks and running water.

The green machine kept stopping to get a drink, this was about the third time in about 100 yards, thought she should be full buy now! CrashClay just kept dragging her away but ya know how kids are attracted to water.

Then it was back to riding more nice back roads.

It won't be long, the leaves are coming out and it will be back to riding in green tunnels.

Some nice riding along ridge line roads with great views.

One last stop and now it's off to "TourPros" birthday party! Happy birthday Chris...

Back out on the bike today with for another ride, this time with TourPros & TTDave.

This is before the ride and TTDave (Thor) was tuning up his bike! Notice his tool of choice... He said it was for his brakes.

TourPros winding up his ride!

On the Power lines road headed to the Ketchum Ranch SW of The Dalles.

Almost home, one more stop for photo's

76 miles of fun!

Bluhduh WABDR ride from the Columbia until we hit SNOW

First of all it was a great sunny day! It was just begging us to get out and Ride.
We started out at the South end of the WABDR with the goal of finding out just how far we could follow the route until we hit snow and had to turn around.

So we pulled over at the end of the pave on Bear Creek Rd. for the first photo's of the day.

Then it was off for some fun climbing towards Triangle Pass.

And some great views looking South towards Mt Hood in Oregon.

Just a word of warning, at Triangle Pass there are "no signs" so don't miss the the turn!
This is a photo with Rd. 68 behind us that you want to go down heading East.

Rd. 68 is a tunnel of tree's, the tree's have not leafed out yet so it was easy to see but as time goes by and it gets darker due to the shade you will want to watch out for water bars and holes.

Then it was onto Rd. 66 heading North. (just a note here, you just might be able to make it to Peterson Prairie if you stayed on 66 and bypass Trail Peak, maybe! We did not try today.) This is a nice short section of pave before you turn onto Rd. 1831

After riding Rd. 1831 & then a short section of pave on Rd. 18 you make the left turn onto Rd. 86 for the climb up Trail Peak. Also just have to add at this point just before this photo we came around a corner head to head with a Black Bear. The two of us came to a fast stop and that was about the time our Bear friend had figured it was time to leave and head up the creek, FAST!
Our wildlife count up to this time was, Three Elk, Three deer and one Black Bear and that was in the first 30 miles!

More twisties

A stop for a shot of Mt Hood.

Had to stop here just for a moment and look at the road, not one other set of tracks! We soon found out why!

END OF THE LINE FOR TODAY!

We walked up to the next turn and guess what! Yes, more snow...

So this is what everyone wants to know. this is about one mile from the top of Trail Peak. I'll be willing to bet that it gets deeper and once you start down the north side it will go a little lower than the snow line on the south side of Trail Peak. We have found the same thing on a lot of our rides around here!

The next order of business was to goof off! Anyone seen this photo op before? Lets see if DP finds this one

Then it was time to cool off!

Hay, look what we found! A flower (just one) for "Ladybug"

Taken photo's of flowers is hard work!

Time to leave but before we go had to mark our high point on the WABDR for the day.

Made a quick stop in Oklahoma

Then off to home

Another nice day and after a little yard work a short ride was in order. Well the short ride ended up being 61 miles.

The notch right over the top of the 950 is looking north to the Columbia River Gorge, The hills with the sunlight on them is WA. and the side in the shade is OR.

Columbia River Gorge to the East.

And again, coming back into the Hood River valley.
