I am having some work on my GSA (08) at the dealer in the morning. Brake line recall, fuels strip fluid change etc.
Anyhow I have a PC3 and a custom map and I want to make sure nothing gets erased or altered if they flash the computer or upload any new BMW stuff.
Is this an issue at all? I seem to recall seeing it mentioned once before....

Or tell them not to do any updates. That's what I did whenever I had to take my bike in for one reason or another. Made sure it was written on the service order.
Since my bike was running fine I didn't need any firmware fixes. Since I didn't need any fixes why take the chance that a change would screw up my running bike? It made sense to tell them not to do any.
That said, I haven't a clue if any would have been done, anyway.
