Do you mean the conduit around the wiring?

I am also tired of the lynx. I love the lights, but hate how often I need to fix the fairing. I have been working on a carbon fiber alternative, but I'm finding making the molds is much harder than expected.

Greetings,
More important than the cost, what is the weight difference between the kit (less individually chosen add-ons) and the stock parts that are replaced?

The stock stuff is really light so I'm sure it's a fair bit heavier... a guess at 10 pounds?

Their site says it adds 3 kg- prolly around 6.5-7 lbs.

The weight's up high, but appears mounted to the frame. It probably weighs less than dual 8" HIDs, but isn't as far forward and is more dispersed. Plus, the pics of the components look bullet proof and the guys who have them agree they're as solid as they look. It cleans up hits and "hits" a lot of "misses" on the SE- like lighting, gps mount, computer mount- not small details, really. And, hopefully the windscreen won't be a torture device, like the Adv's. When you consider price compared to dual HID's, I'd say it's reasonable.

That is my biggest concern. It doesn't look aerodymanic, great for standing and riding rally style but seated

It's not the fault of the Lynx, it's just that the Lynx was not specifically designed to mount to the SE.

My first set of homemade attachment brackets were made of aluminum and didn't last for a single off-road weekend.

My second set was fabbed from 1/16" steel and also fatigued after a couple of trips.

My third set was 1/8" steel, but it was so unforgiving, that the hard plastic on the dash of the Lynx fatigued.

I have since gone hybrid - steel brackets with aluminum stabilizers. I only have one good hard day on it, but will be testing it next weekend in Big Bend.

I will be watching this build thread closely. If Unaweep doesn't destroy his, it can't be destroyed

Weight.....

Just shy of 7 pounds but you pull a couple pounds worth of crap off the forks and mount it to the frame...

Lights...

the single HID is a beast

Comfort at speed...

no idea yet...tomorrow night....
