I'll be riding alone this weekend, so I will be very cautious on the GS. I'll turn around before I tackle anything that has too much chance of getting stuck or ending up with me pinned under the bike!

I didn't think Reddish Knob was the primary destination, I thought it was Elkins.

I sent him a fairly direct, mixed surface route from Hinton to Elkins that I think would be good for somebody traveling alone on a big ass BMW. Some great roads with great scenery.

He has the option to see Reddish and Spruce Knob if he wants to.

Hell, he has the option to ignore my suggestions and run US-33 all the way if he wants to.

Ha ha! Thank you!

I guess it's time to go home from work, starting charging GoPro batteries, and fire up MapSource (or BaseCamp, grrrrr).

My plan is to head out early tomorrow and not come home again until Sunday afternoon. So, look for a ride report Monday or Tuesday (if you care).

Just moved the area so I really hope the GPX files will be available soon. Thanks for doing this and it looks like hoot!

Cell service?

There are 4 of us riding the BRT this weekend. Starting in Wytheville, VA. Our first time out there...should be interesting.

Does Verizon have service in that area?

I'm with Sprint and was in and out of service several times a day. You may not have it exactly when you need it but in an emergency one of your buddies should be able to ride a short distance toward a town and find service.

Have a great ride and make sure to post a ride report.

It's computer magic to me. I'm just glad someone knows how to post that kind of info. BIG thanks to Error Cooled for doing this.

I'm gonna try to do some of it this year.
so sad. I went to 814 and the interactive map was gone. I asked for the file the same day EC said he was stopping the distrib. I was gonna try to at least get the gas stations and campgrounds and put something together on my own.

I hope EC will start sending out the file again.

Are you guys that are posting that you received the info, posting well after the fact, or did you just receive the info?

I PM'ed EC almost 3 weeks ago asking if I could get the files and never heard anything back from him.

Are you saying I can download the track files from the OP? If so, where?

If not, then what are you saying?

^ What he is saying is that ec put the distribution of the files on hold at 12:11pm on 6-27-14.

Right. And jkspecht and DirtDeputy have posted well after 6-27 to say that they received the files. Thus my question about whether they requested them earlier and just got around to posting them or not.

What's so hard to understand here?
