It is scooterGdawg's fault, he thinks he's hot stuff now that he has some heated gear.

Ed's Motorcycle Training Session

My friend Ed's been wanting a motorcycle for his whole life, but had never ridden one himself. I had no plans Sunday, so invited him over to try out the XT, now that it's running nice. So, this is about 25 minutes after he sat on the bike for the first time, never fell (almost a couple times when stopped), and was a really quick learner.

I told him if we were going any faster than jogging speed, he'd have to, but he was nervous he wouldn't be able to hear me if he had a helmet on. The bike weighs less than I do too, so it wouldn't be dragging him down if it starting falling over.

It was chilly on the Richard B. Russell Scenic Parkway yesterday. I probably shoulda dug my Gerbings out of the tank pannier.

I'll probably make the Anderson lunch next month -- if I don't head for the curvy goodness of North GA/Western NC/East TN.

if no one has by now, someone link this thread in the upstate Game....

here is where I was thinking we could go in Anderson....

http://mattysdowntown.com/

anyone see any problems with that ?

it's on main street.... parking "might" be an issue... looks big enough inside tho, and plenty on the menu for even the pickiest appetites....

Matty's is a great place. Awesome burgers -- and everything else.

If there isn't enough on-the-street parking, there is a big parking lot just around the corner in back. But there is quite a bit of parking along the street, so we'll probably be okay.

Right, but leaving early in the morning and getting home after dark is where the coldyness comes in for me. Mind you, I am not really complaining... alot.

Are you sure you don't want to make it Daytona?
