I like that idea. I hadn't considered it.

One that I'm considering has Gregg in mind. Gregg, are you following this thread?

The easy one.

Hint: Horn Lookout Tower

Or you can get the hard shot.

Fair warning, there are some miles of good gravel and scenic riding to get here.

For the record. I'm not going up again. I'm petrified of heights, but it's one of my favorite spots.

Jamie, I'm an idiot with outside of memphis landmarks (and many of inside of memphis landmarks)

Can you give another hint?

Fellas,

I've not posted before, but have been prowling around this forum for some time. I was in SF National Forest on Saturday - rode the whole length from Helena to Marianna. I've got to say, the forest was pretty cool, but wow, what a boring ride from Marianna back to Memphis.

I don't recall seeing that tower - was it on the main road (Rt 1900 I think)? I guess I was concentrating too hard on not sliding around on the gravel...

I guess it's on the main road. I can see it being easy to miss, despite the height. You have to pull up into a gravel driveway, though not far. Lots of leafy trees to block the view.

It's a great loop.

Oh, and welcome. We're meeting in Millington for dinner on Thursday. Come join us! http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...postcount=3411

My thighs have hurt me all day today. Bad enough that I came home and got in bed. I climb stairs and walk all the time. That's never a problem.

I think my fear caused me to tense up my legs as I was going up and down and while at the top. Beautiful views up there once you get beyond the treetops.

Ok, I'm back on it but bikeless til I get it out of a garage 130 miles north....

I started a car shuffle game in the family last weekend.... Long story.

Does it count if I go out there in a cage? Maybe I'll finally fix the ped this week...

Awesome!

I tried to point out there was gravel. It's a great ride.

I just reread this tonight. Do you need a ride to pick up your ride? I have lots of free time.

It's one of the most scenic places in the area. Not many hills around here, and it's only an hour or so away.

You went to the top? I've been up there a few times. It scares the crap out of me every time, yet I do it again.

Welcome to the game. Can't wait to see your next tag.

Jamie
