We had some plans dashed by flats... h14 got one on Saturday and I got one on Sunday. Sometimes equipment just takes a shit.

note to self: you are an idiot.

I was ready to go on the TWVT for 3 days, and had my whole tool/parts kit together. That trip fell through due to the injury of a friend (he will be ok) ; I am going to Michaux instead. I can hear myself saying to myself: "No need to take this bag and that bag... it's only 65 miles from the house. " This bag and that bag had my spare rear tube and and my pump. Lacking these two things and having no time to make some shit up, this is how I got home:

Oh the embarrassment LOL.

Thanks for the trailer Scotty, and thank Phil for the ride! Hope I can make the camp next time.

I had done a mess of riding in the rain, and Scotty is right it rained Friday night and off and on all day Saturday. Thanks for asking Mike! heheheheheh I am loving that you are posting more to your thread.

flats are a pain in the ass.

The older fellow is named Hans. He really surprised me when hs said "Ah a BMW, I have owned many and raced a few". then he asked "Is that a Rotax motor?" and I was impressed! That is a pretty esoteric piece of knowledge, and he was right on. Cool guy with lots of stories and the scars to prove them.

What is it about Michaux and flats this year??? I am starting to think we should have a chase vehicle anytime we go there to explore.

Funny, three of us were up there on Sunday and rode from Chambersburg to the Holly Inn. Coming down Kettle Springs to 233 and getting close to home my brother pulls up beside me with a front flat. Tore a hole in the tire on his Husky. Fortunately we were 10 minutes from my house so getting the truck was an easy option.

And who passed my wife and me on the silver Wee on Sunday? We were walking on Kettle Springs in the morning and a lone rider with an ADV sticker on the top box rode past.

If anyone is getting out this weekend mountain laurel is in full bloom now.

Took my first ride through Michaux today based on reading this Ride Report. Had a blast.

Didn't see anyone else riding though.

I was lucky to have a trailer available this time. I just hate the idea of trailering my bike everywhere. I am just going to be better prepared to deal with the inevitable.
