Jeff, next time you are out there, could you check on the status of Piney Ridge Road? When I went through a couple of weeks ago the gates were still closed.

Hey Sky
Piney Mountain Ridge Road is closed from early December after the last day of antlered deer season until the last Friday in May (25th this year). If your still interested in receiving a copy of my 15 Michaux dual sport routes (847.2 Miles/60% unpaved), let me know. I have all 15 routes typed up and plan to ride them all one more time next week to make any needed minor adjustments, after which time I'll start cranking out copies for those who want them. I'm now working on maps to go along with the routes and will have copies of them as well soon, for anyone who has ridden Michaux before the maps shouldn't be needed?! Also in the works are lists of roads, counties/townships/boros/towns and villages, dealers/shops, eatteries, camping/lodging, etc. along the routes. I'm also looking for someone to ride the routes and download them onto/into a gps and then share them with others, I'd be willing to ride along and guide anyone interested if needed. It takes about four/eight hour rides at an average of 25 mph to do all 15 routes, once you learn the routes you can knock that time down quite a bit though! I plan to leave here between 7:00 and 7:30 A.M. Saturday for what should be an hour long back road ride to Mechanicsburg if your interested in riding along. Allright then, I'll see ya Saturday, Jeff (SoPaRider) SoPaRider@Embarqmail.com 717-262-1025 (Home).717-816-9679 (Cell) 693 Greenfield Drive (less than a mile north of U.S. Route 30 at Mower Road which is across the street from Lowes and three miles east of I-81 (Exit 16). If you have any of the route sheets ready by Saturday, please bring one along for me. No maps needed. I will happily get them into GPS format.
I am riding in from the opposite direction on Saturday, so I will see you at the Turkey Hill.

Thanks Joe... I mistakenly take some good shots once in a while!
![]() I like it. Exciting power (I have to lean way fwd to keep the front end on the ground), Smooth/comfortable, looks like it's doing 100mph just sitting there. I'm more of a dirt bike / dual sport kinda guy, but this bike is the shoshizzle fofizzle. I'm taking my 650 west this summer though... El Tigre is really a roadie. more Michaux: ![]() Too cloudy for good pix..... ![]() Camera is too fast to show movement... even on an overcast day... stops the wheel dead. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() /\Lil guy gonna be \/ ![]() ![]() ![]() Image above at full zoom on the camera. He's 200 yards away easy.

I had the same problem when I started on-the-fly photography. I was using blur reduction settings on the camera, thinking it would help with camera shake. It did, but at the cost of losing the movement blur that really makes the photos come to life.
