You're talking to the fella with the high idle, not viola-tor with the poor mpg, right? We've got two issues running together here...

You're editing your post too fast for me!

I was talking to Viola-tor to cover all angles as he made a comment on if the procedure was like his bmw. I realize that he is hunting mpg at this point. I still think that he is running into a SAS removal problem.

But it does apply to the foolish fellow's problem as well.

Yes the reset is independent from TuneEcu. But you're not clueless, it's exactly what you said...throttle adjustment (cable free play) which as a consequence could affect the tps.

Sorry 'bout that. I was trying to make a little more sense....and learn something in the process.

I agree completely that the mpg problem is probably mechanical and that that side of things needs to be nailed down and perfect before dealing with mapping issues.

Thanks!

Thanks Steve, having both bikes (and being old), I am often confused by their differences and similarities.

You guys rock.

I'm moving the conversation on my bike problems HERE as I feel it's strayed too far from the subject of TuneECU.

Please click and continue with me! I'm trying to find some explanation for the erratic bike behaviors...

How do I get this sorted ?
Hey fellow
Every time my bike has done this it was because the throttle position sensor was reading too low, the ecu brings up the throttle stop unttil it reads. Nb the voltage will drop when the bike warms up so check its not out of range then. A cut down torques bit in a 1/8th spanner can get the adjustment bolt loose without taking the throttle bodies off but there can be other reasons for the voltage being pulled out of range. try reading and posting ur voltage. Good luck!
Ps pull the clutch not the brake ;)
Pps 15 trick does nothing if the o2s are off imho and experience, how could it if it has no feed back to adjust according to :S

2:1 Tests?

Anyone done alt maps with the 2:1 yet? I am in the process adding the aux tank and 2 into 1 and was super curious. I have been running the Akro with O2 sensors, with Remus dual titanium, and that seems to be a good combo.

35 highway - 30 city.

You guys and your claims of 40mpg are full of it.....

There is a powertripp map on the tuneecu sit that I just loaded this week. I have a stock can on my 2-1, it runs MUCH better than the 2-2 powertripp map I had in before.

Is the 0.67 tps voltage as read from the photos I took of the tune ecu screen too high . Should I adjust it back to 0.5 ?
