What does SAI stand for?

I want to disable the SAS when I install my new exhaust. How do I do this in TuneECU? Could it be as easy as this checkbox?

Thanks.

Second Air Intake. Yes, you disable it with checkbox. Also from the above list you must dissable the EPC - Electronic Power Control.

Thanks for your help. So what does the EPC do?

EPC restricts full throttle in certain gears for EU noise emissions, it was unchecked on my US 990R from the factory, I don't know if that is how all the US bikes are though.

Would love to get a look at the map from the guy who said he had 50mpg :)

My map wouldn't help you any as my set-up is quite different these days. I've tried it in other bikes and went back to previous versions to use as a base. Highest milage to date was 68mpg on good fuel with no ethanol, full street tires and a lower seat(gets my head below windscreen). I don't think this is repeatable. Just a lucky day.

That's amazing mileage. We talked a little bit in Tahoe at the rally (I was with CJ). I saw your bike and it would be interesting to do some comparison in Tuneecu between my tweaked map and yours. My setup is a bit different as well but I'm not equipped like you and can't get my a/f ratio as I ride.
Thanks in advance

After I get my new exhaust done(dyno the headers next Monday) I'll have my stock headers we can put on your bike and check it. Of course, while you show me some cool trails up there.

2:1 Testing

So I just completed installation of the 2:1 exhaust system so that I can add the ADV tank. I am still running the Akro map with O2 sensors on for now, but wondering if that will now make a difference. Don't see any posts here on that topic, but I'll report back after a few tanks of gas. So far, I can't tell any difference aside from the fact that the bike has lost weight.

Well my bike is pretty smooth compared to other 990s I have ridden. I road a 950 SE today . The throttle was perfect at low throttle positions.
