New G650 GS

Couldn't find a thread on the new G650 GS so I thought I'd start one...

What do you think of it, what do you know about it?

I like the looks

I guess they are still going for the same segment of the market that appeals to the current 650, mostly road with light dirt mixed in, easy to ride but still lots of fun.

Cool

Thanks, I just found it..., well, it is a GS and a one cylinder so I guess both are appropriate...? But you're right Thumper might be better..., I didn't even think about looking there...

But I don't know how to move the thread so I'll have to wait for a mod to do it.

I don't really know what to make of it yet, I like it driving in the first picture, but the other ones...

Rear swing arm looks bad.

New plastics look good.

Beak pivot point is just awkward...

Ready to see some pics of the "Dakar" version?

Maybe 2012?

Spoked rims, decent suspension travel, etc...

I've always liked front beaks/front fenders that turn with the wheel. I guess it's just my love for dirt bikes since that's the way most of them are.

Cool bike though! Looks like a good F650GS update.

I agree with you when the whole beak/fender turns but this is like they took a samurai sword to it at one point....like it was an after thought or something.

OK. Beemer has now gone beyond the limit what comes to light setup. That is absolutely horrible If I ever consider buying one, lights is a clear "show stopper", no go, etc.
