Anyone know if we'll see one this side of the Canadian border? Buddy is looking at the new 1000cc version and is hopefull.

Doubtful in my opinion but I don't really have any inside information or anything. From what I've heard they aren't selling very well in Canada and I imagine if the demand is low there Honda won't bother bringing them over here. Hopefully I'm wrong though I'd love to have one myself, the reviews have been fairly good and they just seem neat!

Varadero's In AK!

Summer of 2009 Honda Canada packed up a dozen Varadero's, mostly 1000cc, and shipped them to MotoQuest headquarters in Anchorage. We took them and the Honda Team on a loop around AK. The bikes performed well we were impressed.

As for plans to bring them over state side for resale, I dont know. But to answer your question, they did once bring them to this side of the border.

Great bike though!

If your buddy is lusting over the jap dual sport stuff here's another piece of unobtainium to drool over. This one's a 660 but they're bringing over a 1200, sure.

I don't know how good of a recommendation this is, but I once saw a Veradero run up against the rev limiter for at least 5 minutes! In a huge traffic jam leaving Jerez, a fellow would pull the bike up next to a car, run the engine up, hold it open, rev it repeatedly, then shut it down. The folks in the car would hand him a can of beer, he'd chug it, then move to another car and repeat the process. I can only wonder what happened to the guy and the bike...
