Searching is impossible so please excuse me if this has been answered. How does Schuberth recommend we clean the Pinlock Lens?

Waiting from the formal response from Schuberth, but in our experience a damp cloth can get it done, but be sure to take extra care around the silicone bead that runs the perimeter. If you mess the bead up you could be SOL. :-)

I take the pinlock out of the visor and clean them separately, then wearing white cotton gloves, I reinstall the pinlock. Gloves are to prevent fingerprints.

I did finally learn how to remove the Air Scoop for cleaning - thanks to Aaron @ South Sound Motorcycles.
Boy did it need that! I do have one other question. I purchased a C3W for my wife and we noticed that the Chin Strap "tung's" that overlap under your chin, don't have velcro on them like my C3 does. Is this common to all C3W's? Cheers,

My C3 doesn't have any velcro either. I think they changed the design.

You do this at your own risk!
Ok, you've been warned. . . The warning is because you can easily brake the part of the scoop base (black plastic) that is welded to the Helmet. You brake the base you either "glue" the Scoop back on OR buy a new helmet! Here goes:
To install, reverse the above process. If you moved the Slider Closing part of the base make sure it is in the Middle position before replacing the Scoop - by sliding the Scoop into the front grooves and then "snapping" it in place at the rear. Replace the Slider and your done. Be careful out there. . . ![]() Cheers,

You can't quite get to all of the little critters that get sucked into and past the "grill". I used compressed air to blow out most of the bug's (from the inside out) but eventually you need to clean "inside" the scoop. Only way is to remove it. It was made to be removed - just gently.
Cheers,

I've owned a Schuberth S1 and J1, both of which I was very happy with except for one thing. The anti-fog coating on the inside of the visor quickly turned milky white when exposed to the least bit of rainwater. Anyone else experience this or has the problem perhaps been solved? My experience is about 3 years old, so maybe it's been addressed.

Schuberth Helmets for ADVRiders
I just purchased a C3 and got the SRC system as well. I have no interest in answering the phone and the obtrusive microphone boom needs to go. I know it isn't removable but has anyone cut it off?

The SRC system is removable. Pretty easy actually.

Yes, it's very easy to remove. I installed it in about 10 minutes so I can take it out. What I want to do is get rid of my Integratr IV and the cord and replace those functions with the SRC. I would like to listen to my iPod via Bluetooth and have to option to listen to the Garmin 665 when in an unfamiliar city in heavy traffic. The microphone boom is simply not needed and I find it an uncomfortable distraction.

Aside from the Intercom/Bike2Bike and the occasional phone call - while out on the road - I use the mic most often to "control" my iPod app on the iPhone. Hands free!
Cheers,
