Anthony -- Is there a restocking fee if I get one and decide it's not for me? I live out in the sticks of VT with no way to try one on unless I'm willing to fly or drive a few hundred miles.
The issue for me is whether or not there will be room for the boom mike. I don't have a chin like Dudley DooRight, but in my Nolan N103 my lips touch the chin bar. If the Schuberth fits like that I'll be returning it after the first 30 seconds. The lack of ventilation is the one thing I dislike about the Nolan. I've heard rumors that the C3 is much better vented. Pete |

Hey Pete,
Thanks for dropping the note. I can appreciate your concerns. As of 1/15 we no longer have a restock / exchange / return fee on anything including closeouts - which can now be returned as well. Zilch. We also still offer free shipping over $39 bucks and free first exchange shipping from us along with TeamZilla Cash. We also pay your sales tax if you live in Pa which is new in 2011. We just kindly ask that you send the helmet back to us in exactly the same condition we sent it to you with all the tags and packaging intact. With regard to a boom, the clearance may be tight, but please do not attempt to install an external BT Device on the helmet shell. If it separates the helmet trim or scuffs the exterior we won't be able to take it back. I just want to make sure you have a great experience with no surprises. :-) Also with regard to fit, have someone help and really try to take the most accurate measurement around the largest circumference around your head (at or above your eyebrows). We have waffled about fit with more than one customer. The C3 will break in. Some people have been going a size up (including some of our staff and some folks here), but if you can get an accurate head measurement you really should get the size that the size chart denotes. And yes, the ventilation is great in my opinion as well. Let me know how else I can help you at the moment. Best, Anthony Quote:

Quick q about sizing...
My size Large Shoei Qwest felt as if it fit perfect when new. Now, 3 months later, it's kinda wobbly on my head when the bike gets up to highway speeds. Looking at size charts on the Revzilla site (after measuring my head), it appears that I'm a borderline medium for a Shoei, and a confirmed large for a C3. My head measured at 58.5cm... So, is a size L C3 my best bet? |

He Diablo,
Regarding sizing on these there has been some erroneous debate. If you take an accurate measurement, you should go right with the size chart. If you are squarely in between, go up. The key is the accurate sizing of the largest circumference of your head at or above your eyebrows. If you fit a Shoei the shape should work for you.
The Large will fit you. It will be very snug. It will break in. You can't do quiet without snug. Let me know what else I can offer. Anthony Quote:

I use an Arai Profile in medium. I tried a Schuberth at the Seattle show and the medium Schuberth fit like a glove.
I hope this will help someone with they're sizing. Cheers

Interesting UK helmet safety website
Folks,
As a rider who owns a Schuberth Concept, I was intrigued with the C3. A friend sent this UK helmet safety website which did not have a very favorable safety rating on the C3. I also own a Nolan which was rated higher at a considerably lower cost. What gives? Since we all wear helmets for safety, should not cost have some relationship to head protection? http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/home |

Schuberth Sizing Video
Hey Guys,
Based on all of the feedback via our staff, my personal experience and this thread and others like it, I wanted to put a stake in the ground in relation to Sizing the newer Schuberth Helmets including the Schuberth C3 Helmet. Please see the following video if you are looking for specifics around choosing the right size Schuberth Lid. As always, all feedback welcome. Anthony

Question for Schuberth owners...
Does the tinted shield fit over glasses? It's a primo deal point for me. I was about to buy a RX-Q. But when I add a tinted screen and a pinlock...I'm only a hundred bucks shy of a C3. So, the drop-down shield is worth a fair bit... |

Just got my C3
Just got my new helmet yesterday. I ordered it last Sunday and I got it last night (Monday). Slow shipping but it was free so I can't complain too much. I wear a medium in Shoei and Arai and the C3 is the same. Medium is a perfect fit. I get a red mark on my forehead but there is no pressure so I think this helmet is going to work out great. I wore it around the house last night for over an hour -- comfy!

That does help. Thanks. I wear a med. profile and hate it. Fit is perfect, I just find the build quality lacking big time.

Hey DRT,
The C3W's should be shipping in the next month at the latest. We have them ordered up, we are just waiting on arrival. Thanks, Anthony

Thanks. I'll check with my dealer out here next month. Need to get the wife set up before the spring riding starts - which by all accounts could be real soon now.
Cheers,

G'Day Anthony,
Wondering about the performance of the glare shield compared to wearing a good pair of sun glasses with a clear shield. Is it a replacement for a pair of sunnies or just a convenience? I have used tinted visors on our Shoei helmets and a good pair of glasses is streets ahead in giving clear vision, but the tinted visor offers some sunburn protection for the face which is convenient as I hate wearing sunscreen which would have to be worn at least on the chin with the schuberth I would have thought. Thanks for your comments. Edit: I am keen on the "World Pattern" white listed on the Schuberh website, and chance it's in the pipeline for the US?
