Yesterday afternoon I passed a KTM 990 (Ontario plates) fully loaded headed away from Cape Breton. With the three gas jugs strapped down I was thinking he was returning from the TLH. Anyone from here?

Also about 6-10 BMWGs,GSA I pass comming back from Halifax late Sunday afternoon, I was heading back to North Sydney,plus I passed 2-4 bmwgs and GSA in the morning heading to North Sydney also some Wees and a few Vees.

I don't know if I've read that article, but I've read the study. I'll let you in on a little secret, OMG_WTF: I'm not actually that worried about bears, I just use that to occupy my mind so I don't think about more realistic fears. Like dying alone. Which I suppose is potentially related.

you should pick up a satellite phone from the canadian govt. i know they hand those out.
dont know the details about that but it's worth looking into.

Good news... I have Chasey booked for her gynecological visit July 30th with Dr. Uber Alles. Tempted to buy a fuse box to have installed. Current accessory pull is 2 gps, three plugs, aux lights, and heater grips. Any suggestions? 61K but she is just starting to break in.

I was wondering about the sat phone. I'm glad you are bringing one. Thx!

I think you should re-grease the swingarm pivot and the lower shock pivot bearings. They are easy to do when your rear wheel is off. Use a good marine-grade grease. I don't know the particulars of your bike, but you get the idea....

Thanks for the suggestion... I'll tell the doctor. She will get a major service with full light replacements and a rubdown. Maybe she'll even get a happy ending

Anyway, I'm still in Newfoundland, taking the ferry up to Labrador tomorrow. A few things I really recommend for those taking the trip-- the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia, and camping at Green Point in Gros Morne park. Get site number 7, if you can. It's self registration and checkout is noon. $15.80 Canadian (why is is never a number I might actually have change for?), no showers, but a restroom, and you're overlooking the ocean and a little fishing village. With WiFi, which is how I'm posting this. Okay, enough dawdling, I got Archaic Maritime people sites to see.

Sorry for the short notice guys but if you can make it to Panera Bread in La Plata tomorrow morning that would be great. Dana and I have a few items to discuss about the TLH trip. I will be there at 0700 but since we are meeting up with Biker128 at Star Bucks at 0900 you can probably catch us until 0845 at Panera's.
