Ditto, Glenn, glad you liked it and thanks for clearing up the story. I'm in Quebec City right now. My chain needed to be replaced in Wabush (for whomever asked, it's an issue with my KLR, probably not most. I think something's out of whack with the rear hub, thought I had it licked, but..).

Anyway, good to meet you and all the rest of the riders I encountered along the TLH. That was the best ride I've ever done. Truly a blast, and I hope to do it again someday.

Hey TRANS-LAB SMIBs... the stickers showed up and we have 250 to graffiti Canada with.

Now don't go taking this the wrong way....but instead of graffiti-ing our country with 250 stickers, why not cover your bike from front to back and leave our clean non-graffitied countryside alone!
It's bad enough that the city punks tag everything not nailed down that we don't need stickers added to the mess.
Maybe you could tag your route up to the border and then stop.....just so you can find your way home again by following the mess...?

Completed Lab City to Goose Bay today. The graders make the road a mess, lots of small berms that can grab the front tire and increase the pucker factor. Still able to run at 45-60 mph most of the way. Staying at the Goose River Lodges tonight and striking out for Blanc Sablon in the morning. I'm told the road was fairly good about a month and a half ago and reports are it still is. Probably looking at a six to eight hour run or more tomorrow.

The key to this road is 100% concentration 100% of the time.

Don't know but my riding buddy spoke to him in Lab City the other night. He was about 30 minutes behind us on the road.

HELP NEEDED!

I blew my rear TKC just 16 km from Blanc Sablon. No issues stopping, but now I need to source a tire to get me home. The sidewall is completely gone.

Just in case you needed a little help, I added 2.5 C because someone had that on the temp readout of their bike one morning..think about what you are packing if you plan to camp or ride early.
