Google for yamaha 2track, that system is ready for sale as a package, and bolts to many bikes to. Could learn from that and make the ultimate 9x0 system from it!

Have you found where these "KITS" are for sale? If so, Please post up a link.

I tossed this around too when I started and never got any word back from Yamaha about the kits being sold separately. Only thing I heard was, we do offer the complete 450 2 track for about $30,000. So my thoughts were, $30,000 for the complete bike, minus $8,000 for the MX 450. So ONLY $22,000 for the kit??? That was way out of my price range.

I knew that Christini offered them for the KTM's. A few measurements and found the 950 front forks sizes are the same as the 530s. Perfect. Figure out some frame mods and should be good to go.

Hey CJ.

Meeting you and your bike was one of the highlights of the Moab Rally.

Riding with you was cool too... for the 30 seconds we were together.
Geek was amazed by your machine. He never stopped talking about his 'test ride'.

I'm patiently standing by, watching this thread grow.

That's all part of it, and although it takes a ton of time, I learn a lot along the way. I'm sure there are faster ways of going about these projects, but working through the ideas and issues is kind of fun. I've not mastered it yet when I can hit the nail on the head first shot.

So yesterday I was dead flat in bed, sicker than a dog. This morning I woke up and it was feeling 80% better. So... Not to waste a good test day.
Diesel Joe and I went out for a 130 mile loop on the 950s, not many sunny, 60F days left this year. We did about 8 miles of single track, and sure put this system to work. I could tell it was helping me climb the steep hills. One spot, my rear tire slid down in a muddy, sloppy, rut, at least axle deep. My front wheel was on top to the right yet. I pointed the front wheel forward and the front wheel clawed forward pulling the bike along side-tracking the entire rut about 30 ft long. I just laughed inside my helmet at how easy that was.

Christini

CJ,
As we spoke, the Christini system rocks. I absolutely love it on my 450EXC but the thought of that system on my 950SE would be fantastic.

I look forward to your posts and politely remind others, if you haven't actually ridden one, you don't really know how well they work.

Opinions on what is will or won't work are likely to be just that (unless you work for Christini), What CJ is doing will be a great read and I admire him for sharing some of the build process with us.
