Getting ready to San Francisco, Cordoba.
Finally after a vacation in the Caribbean with my children I decided to embark on the adventure to Argentina from the city of Lima. For more than four years that I devote myself to scroll through different cities of Peru, especially the people who are at the top of the mountain, and when I speak of the mountaintop I assure you I'm not kidding, literally my bike rides the mountains of Peru at altitudes lead me 4500 meters above sea level (14,500 feet).
The bike I used was my KTM990 Adventure S 2007. With 30,000 kilometers before the trip, before leaving, I assure myself that certain components were replaced, for example I changed the water pump, the clutch actuator piston, new chain, bearings, new tires, oil change engine oil, brake, and clutch oil. Also replace the brake pads and service to the injectors and air filter.
I usually travel on the roads of Peru for two, three, or four days depending on the length of travel. But this time would travel about 8500 kilometers from Lima to San Fransisco, Cordoba and then return back to Lima.
The idea did not frighten me, but I was excited more everyday.
I did not prepare any special route, I just knew I had to ride the bike and go, and after crossing three international borders would be in my place.
At five o'clock everything was ready to go, of course that's what I thought, in fact there is always some last minute that is holding us, and this time was no exception.
And so began the journey ....... that would last 25 days
