N GA Holiday Ride

Only 3 hrs left of Christmas Eve, don't think I'm gonna make it.

Anyone up for a day next week?
anything but Sunday, Monday or Saturday

Day? Time? Meeting Place?

Next Friday sounds good to me. I believe the weather is going to be perfect for a ride in the mountains, plus I am off that day and the wife is working. Send me a pm if you decide to go.

Cbob you will have to direct me to Toosy's as I am not familiar with it but I think the time sounds good to me. My email is telrod@adelphia.net . I will get in touch with a guy who I have ridden with a couple of times to see if he can make it.

Toosy's is on GA 400 at GA 60 South of Dahlonega and may not be the most convenient place to meet.

If you want to meet near Elijay and ride Cohutta area I can do that too.

Are there any other takers?

Cbob I believe I know where that is, I have seen alot of bikes out front before when I passed by it. By the way, what kind of tires are you running?

Yup, that's Toosy's

I've got Pirelli MT21's (I think), their dual sport tire. Not very agressive in dirt.

I noticed this post and thought I would ask you guys about your ride this Friday.

Open to anyone?
What type of riding?
What type of bikes?

I live in Marietta and ride a KTM 950. Lots of dirt experience on race bikes. New to adventure riding, but have put about 70 miles of forest service roads on the 950 already.

Thanks

Kirk

Kirk -

You sound like our kind of guy. I have lots of dirt experience and just now trying out "adventure dual sporting". I have an LC4 for this and found it works well on GA forest roads and real easy ATV trail. My mission is to explore the roads North of TWO off GA180. We'll take the shortcut from Dahlonega (Camp Wahsega Rd to FS28?, FS42) and come in the back way to Suches and North from there, but I am open to any kind of exploration.

DirtySouth400 has a DRZ-S. This will be our first meeting.

Come join us!

I second what Cbob said kirk, come join us friday and we can all get broke in together. If you decide to come along Kirk, how do you plan on going, i.e what route? I live in cartersville off of Hwy 20 and usually just go up 108 through waleska over to 53 in tate and head north. To meet up at toosy's I will head through dawsonville I am guessing without looking at a map. Maybe we can meet up beforehand or if not, hope to see you there as well as Cbob. By the way I have yet to get in touch with my bud that I have ridden with a few times up around TWO. He lives in dawsonville and if he doesn't have to work I am sure he would like to go. By the way, he rides a KLXSR.

Thanks for the hospitality. However, I just found out that my brother in-law is visiting that day. Will have to pass on the ride this time. Hope to see you guys some other time. Have fun.

Thanks

How bad are the roads you'll be on? Think they're 'Strommable? If you tell Gaelic the GS can handle it, I'm there.
