Hey Doode.

She liked it. But the suspension needs work. We talked with the guy she uses on her track bike and he said it maybe it could be adjusted better or maybe you'd need new stuff. Other than that she likes it and says it hits a sweet spot between the 800GS and the 1200GS. She test rides anything they'll let her ride.

I hope it doesn't go the way of the TDM.

That Ducati was something else wasn't it? I wanted to ride it at least once just to twist the throttle really hard.

Dang! I missed both Ace and Mike54.... Did see JoeFromSF.

1st time I've been back in several years as I wanted to see the Super Tenere.
Got to sit on the new Yamaha. (which is on order.... )
Pretty impressed with it up close. BIG difference in seating with the seat in low vs high settings. Feels a lot lighter than I expected.

More vendors this year than in recent memory but still pretty weak compared with 10yrs ago. Sign of the times, I guess.

Like Roger noted, the parking lot (the BEST show) was pretty sad but it was raining pretty hard a lot of the day.

This morning there was NOBODY on skyline around 9:30. About 9:50 I pulled into the parking lot across the street from Alices and there are maybe 18 bikes... all BMW of various models. When someone said "you can switch bikes, if you like" I figured out what was going on. They left about 10 AM -- just as the sky opened up with about 5 minutes of very heavy rain. Didn't seem to bother the folks out for their test ride.

Long Beach Motorcycle Show

I hope we can get an ADV crew together again for the Long Beach show. As for tickets, the best all-around discount I've seen is using the "gearchic" promo for $4 off (which they kindly tack $1 back on for processing).

I'll be at the show on Saturday from 9:30a to 12:30p, spreading the love in the women's section.

cabesa and I talked about heading down again, which day was undecided. A lunch get together could sway the decision.

I don't think I've missed more than one Long Beach show in the past two decades. Nowadays you have to get there really early if you want to test ride anything with two wheels.

Hope to see some inmates on Saturday.

Bike were cool but the hottest thing there was the Ducatti latte babe. Simply Steaming. Had to go outside in the rain to cool down. My .02

To bad we won't get to see her in LB , most are hired locally.

Is there any interest in a Saturday lunch get together.
