EDIT: Michelle passed away peacefully and without pain very early Sunday morning (Father's Day), holding her father's hand, of all things & was surrounded by her family.

Sorry to hear that Mike.

I'm glad she is at peace.

I did a bit over 500 miles this past weekend, but didn't snap a single photo (cause I was droning down the Interstate for the most part)...hopefully taking the backroads toward Beaufort might help.

noggin's good, well good as it ever was. 3 1/2 hr surgery on the collar bone a plate & 7 screws. probably won't do anything with the bike till arm comes outta sling in about 4wks, which won't be as long as it has been

Ahem....allow me to introduce the Ole Girl

She still needs some odds and ends to finish her up completely, but this is how she looks!! I might take off the risers for the rear view mirrors, though.



Let's see:

Forks, brakes & rims from 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200
Triples from '89 GSXR750 (top clamp is a Speigler unit with standard handlebars.)
Speigler stainless brake lines
Vance & Hines Street megaphone 4 into 1 (32lbs lighter than stock 4 into 2 double walled chromed steel exhaust))
Shorai LiFe battery (17lbs lighter than factory lead-acid battery)
Vintage Mikuni VM33 smoothbores (should be good for a few more ponies)

SO, She's substantially lighter than factory, with a bit more power & has markedly better suspension and brakes...the great thing is that it can all be converted back to stock in the matter of a couple hours. All these mods were straight bolt up. No mods to the frame.
