Hey ... that sounds like you're taking over MARKETING'S JOB ...

Seriously, I understand your point, but is what people describe a "snatchy throttle" is really more of a transient throttle response issue?

What, you don't thing Engineering is persuasive! Sure the IICE Cool works on transient throttle, but without the IICE Air to follow up the transient throttle with acceleration enrichment, the response goes flat.

You'll know what I'm talking about if you don't get one. You'll also know what I'm talking about if you do.

Check Invoice?

Hey, I checked the invoice and it does indeed clearly say: "Shipped Whenever".

Seriously, ice and snow is in my little corner of heaven, so I am geared for backcountry skiing not riding for several months. If you need to put me at end of list, no problem. As long as I eventually end up with an ICE & Cool I am in no hurry.

You're in luck, I was just putting this post together. Apparently I made some sort of mistake while working with the master spreadsheet file. In the process of adding the people from the 'Final Sale', I was moving and inserting columns in Excel and some data got misaligned. Anyway, here is the correct list below.

L.K., MI

Q1) i'm wondering first why they both don't provide a "general" improvement rather than segregated....
Is that just the way bmw programmed the ecu, and that while there is some "overlap" that the functions are "mostly" as shown in your chart?

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showp...&postcount=146

Q2) i think you said taht the iice air will give about 1/3 of the total improvement, while the iice cool will give 2/3rds.
Why is that ... More german ecu magic?

thanks!
Q1) It has nothing to do with anything that specifically BMW did. Gasoline-powered vehicle motors require different fuel control algorithms during a motor's various operational modes. In the case of your question, the two operational modes are Leading Throttle and Transient Throttle. The IICE Air works on Leading Throttle, and the IICE Cool works on Transient Throttle.

Q2) When the ECU doesn't get Transient Throttle (aka: Throttle Tip-in) fueling right, it's more noticeable/objectionable than if Leading Throttle isn't right. You could say that those terms are too subjective if you like, but it won't change anything.

Sweet. There can't be more than one JGNV.

Hi Poolside, does this list include the Final Sale purchasers? If yes, I'm not seeing my initials on that (FF,FL) deal closed on Nov 8, 2011...

And speaking of long-time prior orders... You wonderful and patient folks that have been waiting and haven't yet lynched me, THANK YOU for your patience and confidence!

Previously posted for the most recent list.

I'm about middle of the list from 29 June....

Yes I have missed a few questions along the way. The camhead motor runs on gasoline, and passes EPA regulations. The changes from the IICE Air perform the same as on any of the other fuel-injected BMW bikes.
