2 days riding to work and back with this gizmo on my R1100RT. It seems to come of the choke a little sooner but it's been warm so . What I do know is it makes the throttle less touchy as I'm splitting lanes. It's easier to be smooth now. Can't say I notice any difference while crusing at speed but then I didn't expect to. I haven't tried any jumper settings other than what it was delivered at.
I'm looking forward to getting my GS back together and trying it on some trails with this thing on it. That was always a problem with that thing since it's geared so high in first you need to be smooth at low throttle inputs. This should make things a little easier.

Yeah I left it at the -20 default position. I did try it in the 0 position for a mile or two to compare....its tough to do that I think....you gotta ride for some miles to get the full effect. Ambient temps were from 60 deg to about 75 deg.

Regarding the upcoming products, we sure plan to have them ready for Summer. This past weekend I was in the lab evaluating some additional features for the Cool and Smooth devices.

You are such a tease... is this a ploy to maneuver into marketing?

JJ might like to think so, but I'm into development. And I'm anxious to get back to it!

Well that's good news.

So is the bike running any different as well?

it seems more stable when started cold on the fast idle ( choke lever)

I put the rose colored plug back in, in place the steptoe jumper mod thing, taking a 400 mile trip tomorrow, so I will log fuel economy, and get to test the power delivery.

Talking Finally Installed On My GS

At first I didn;t notice much difference, Then I started the bike.

This uodate is causing me problems. I keep riding down the interstate and trying to upshift. I've got too much power for 6th so I think I'm in 5th, maybe 4th. I may wear the toes out on my boots from trying to upshift.
I've also noticed the distance between my and the big rig in front is much less now. Used to take a while to catch up. Not any more.

I also expect much less wear on the front tire since it hits the ground so seldom.

Please sir, can I have more?

IICE Air

I'm sorry, but BMW makes a great motorcycle. My 07 GS Adventure has 84 thousand miles on it. yea, I got cought up in this item to improve it. Payed 80 dollars for it and waited 5 months for it. You guys complain about Touratech. I installed it and road several times, didn't see any change. Maybe it just me. go ahead and start the flaming......

No flaming from me. Got questions, but if it's not working for ya, it's not working for ya.

I have no connection to the boys. Just a happy customer of 3 widgets so far (my bike and 2 gifts for friends). Might as well buy a 4th. Take it off. If it is unmolested, I'll give you half your money back plus I'll make FEDEX arrangements for shipping to me. Hey, that's what I get for used parts when I sell them and what I want to pay when I buy them.

I may get another BMW someday. Or make another friend although that is increasingly less likely. lol.

PM if interested. Maybe I'll even go 60%. You could ask. ;)

I wonder if the jumper is set to the 'no change', or -0C setting? It's possible I may have put the jumper on the -0C setting.

Edit: Regarding the jumper settings, click on the link below and scroll down to How do I adjust the IICE Air temperature settings?

I'm glad you downsized the device. With that laptop on my tank I'd have no room for the tank bag

I love this photo and try to imagine what is on the display. I noticed in the background that the RPM is zero so I'm guessing that the bike isn't running at the moment of those waveforms. All very interesting, thanks for sharing.

No change

Yeah, I could swear that I looked at it and it was at the -20 setting before I installed it, but, I could be mistaken. I've had no change also. I'm going to have to go back in and double check it now that you mention it PS.
