rest assured, when you do finally get the device, it will do great things to your bike.

it just didnt do them to mine, because my bike is old, worn out, and the rocker end play adjustment was at the upper end of the specification.

Poolside- My 1150 runs pretty well, but it's hard to keep a steady speed below 10 mph without a lot of clutch. Here in Massachusetts, that's often necessary in traffic. At highway speeds I'm hoping for less hesitation on the throttle. If my bike ran as well in the summer as it does at 35 degrees, I'd be pretty stoked.

You realize that idle rpm is REALLY close to 10mph in 1st gear right?

Yeah, I get that. Does your bike ride perfectly smoothly at idle with the clutch engaged?

Just for reference, when I installed the BoosterPlug on my 800GS I didn't notice a difference. The bike felt the same, mileage was the same, etc. Since it's not as easy to get to the airbox on the 800, I just left it there for a couple of months until I had a need to remove the cover. First ride after I pulled the BoosterPlug I really noticed a difference. The throttle was very snatchy off-idle and taking off from a stop was nowhere near as smooth. A couple days later I put the BP back on and all was right with the world again. (Except for the rear hub. )

You might want to put the ICE on and ride for a week or two. Then take it off and see if you notice a difference. That was the only way I realized the BP was actually working.

No, it won't, not at idle.

The IICE Air helps but the amount of torque that is 'suddenly' added along with gear snatch and suspension reaction all contribute to jerkiness and the need for clutch control.

DAMHIK that dry clutches are not meant to be slipped any significant amount.

Try putting it on and forgetting about it for a few weeks. Then take it off and see if you notice a difference.

I didn't when I put my BP on but I sure as hell did when I took it off a month later.

Hey mouthfulloflake. JJ mentioned this earlier, but I just want to confirm it. Let's get that IICE Air over here so I can take a look at it. You know, give it the full spectral analysis as it were, and put it through its paces. (Which is a bit of an exaggeration but you get the idea. ) And with that verification and spit polish I'll send it right back to you in time for the next step in your evaluation.

I dont recall JJ offering that?

no surprise I missed though, um, Ive had a few offers to buy it ( at less than street value) and ive had even more offers to test it.

I think Ill try it on some local bikes first, given the simplicity of the design, manufacturing, and engineering involved, I figure there is very little to be defective right?

but if you wish Ill send it back too, im certainly not trying to be a thorn in your side.

have you had any defective units thus far?

Every device gets tested at two points in the build process. Nothing defective thus far here, and no failures in the field. I've sent you a PM so we can arrange the shipping. I would like to see what the heck is going on, if anything.

Hey, have you tried disconnecting the intake air temp sensor? See how the bike rides with the air temp sensor disconnected.

I'm assuming you are not the original owner. If that's the case, there is the possibility that the Motronic ECU on your bike has an aftermarket EPROM installed.

Mouthfulloflake, I would like to see what the heck might be going on, if anything. So far this has been over a month of one unrelated issue after the other. Check your PMs and we'll arrange the shipping.

After that functional verification, I'll send it right back to you in time for the next step in your planned evaluation process.
