What Year Models Need Upgrade?

And while I was at it I revisited the performance of an IICE Air on the R1200 motor, this time on a newer 1200GS. After a few minutes it was obvious that it performed just as you said. That is to say, not the same as when I originally tested the IICE Air on R1200 models years ago. I could say I was surprised about that, but that doesn't quite cover it. I'm sure there will be a lot of talk about this, and more details to discuss.

The upshot of this is an upgrade part. It will be free of course, and it plugs into the IICE Air. With the upgrade part it increases performance to optimum levels.

What year models of the 1200GS will need, or rather benefit, from the forthcoming "upgrade"?

Is this is where the ever helpful and responsive marketing dept. steps in and answers in the affirmative…?

YES!

Or words to that effect.

Do the IICE product(s) even have a marketing plan, apart from underground WOM?

What about the other bikes?

It's been pointed out that the IIce Air is not producing the advertised temperature offsets on the F800 model as well. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=936931

Reading that thread it seems evident the IIce Air may not function as advertised on any BMSK equipped BMW bike. Will there be remedial action for those purchased for use on those bikes as well?

Got mine a week or two ago and I'm very happy with it. I had some bad surging/lean spots that were right in my "cruise rpm" and it was driving me crazy. The bike feels so much smoother now. Real linear power that is a dream to exploit. Thanks!

I'll be ordering a small batch of those boards next week. And they arrive in about 20 days. So sometime after that. In the meantime, send me an email with your name and transaction number.

-20 setting will make the air inlet temperature show -20 c cooler
-30 setting will make the air inlet temperature show -30 c cooler
OK....I am confused...can PS or JJ please post a clear explanation of this apparent problem with the IICE Air? If there is a deficiency, what can be done to correct it?

Thanks....Phil

Hotrodding the GS

Hey, CoonAss. It's a poor business practice and an asshole move to shit in someone else's thread. Let your product stand on its own. After seeing this, I wouldn't buy anything from you.

If there is a fix needed, I'll get that from Jim , too. Can't wait till I can get the full system Jim envisioned when he started the project .

You are correct and I agree with you 100% I did not want to post the test results that were posted on 11-15-13 , but I felt it was the right thing to do for the inmates here... Remember the thread is a technical discussion on hotrodding a gs. Not a vendor thread..
