Let's just say that you correctly left out the "Springs" after the "Dripping". Kinda like me, I live in what was formerly known as China Spring. Now it's just plain ol' China. Get's confusing but just remember, mine is the one where the economy sucks as bad as the weather and dogs are still pets (but a couple more weeks of this and that could be changing, too. ;))

Tried Mine today, I have a K&N air filter, remus Ypipe sans cat, 88* this afternoon I set it at 10* & its definatly better than the accelerator(doesn't feel over fueled) smooth low speed, low gear transistion & no surging. I've only riddin about 10 miles with the IIce on it but initially I like it!

I've been checking my mpg lately. Once I get mine and installed, I'll post my observation as I am curious too.

I expect your mpgs will be different depending upon how much you are on the throttle. I would expect mellow riders to see very little difference in fuel economy, whereas the rest of us will see 5 - 10% decrease in fuel economy but a whole lot more.

Talking Thank you!

To all the Inmates waiting patiently (mostly), I would like to say thank you for letting me move up to the front of the line. I finally have the family stuff out of the way and can enjoy the rest of my R and R doing some riding and playing around with my IICE device! I have to return to The 'Stan next week but will enjoy every moment of my rides until I have to park her for the next 5 months. Thank you again.

Doc,

Thank you for your service. Good luck, and keep your head down.

Sweeeeeeeeeeet!

Context: '99 R1100 GS w/56,000 miles, bone stock except for a Remus exhaust /potentiometer installed years ago to address a minor surging issue. I installed the IICE air and rode about 20 miles this morning in near 100 degree temps set at the -10 position . I've always been satisfied with how my bike runs, the only "issue" being a flat spot/momentary hesitation when abruptly rolling on the throttle in 5th gear between 4,000 and 5,000 rpm.

Starting: same as before...has always seemed a little sluggish to me no matter the battery, temperature, etc.

Cold Idle: smooth as butter now...used to be a little rough, would die on occasion

Acceleration: very noticeable seat-of-the-pants improvement overall, with a much smoother feeling and quicker run-up

Shifting: a bit smoother, I think because it doesn't drop rpm's as abruptly

Flat Spot: still there at 4,000-5,000 rpm in 5th though much improved, barely noticeable in 4th, and absent in lower gears...this only occurs with an abrupt twist of the wrist. If I smoothly roll on the throttle it isn't an issue.

OVERALL, 9.5 out of a possible 10!

Good on you, Poolside and JohnJen...Thanks

I'm ready to order the IICE cool.

This is true. I am one of those IT guys. I have bulk bags full of computer junk. There must be thousands of those jumpers in there.

Let's do a test.... How many seconds does it take me to find one of those jumpers. I'm sitting at my desk...ready...set...go!

5 seconds...to find 10 of them.

By the way, a small ball of aluminum foil pushed down over the two pins will also do the job, in a pinch. Just be careful that it only touches the two pins you want to connect.

Another place to find these shorting pin jumpers are recycled/used computer stores. When I was in the biz I had hundreds of them stashed in various places, for easy access.

Rhinewest chip

I know there's probably something about this somewhere but I have a rhinewest chip with full remus exhaust on an 02 1150 gs. Will the IICE Air work in conjunction with the chip or supersede it? Also I'm in Austin, TX where it doesn't seem like it'll get below 100 degrees forever if that matters.
