Entering Los Padres from Hungry Valley?

Can one ever enter the "Frazier Mountain Complex" of trails from the Hungry Valley OHV area? If so, where? I was there today and wanted to go from Goldhill road to trail #124. (or the reverse) Looked gated off.

Sorry no one answered...they must all be out riding...

The main road out the west end of the park should take you out. You can pickup Goldhill trail just up there.
There were also three other singletrack gates along the western border but I have not been out there in years. Call the rangers up there and ask if they're still open or what. If it rains or there's fire danger they'll close them.

You can access the trail network from Chuchupate campground up past Frazier park in the Lockwood area as well.

Those are pretty tough singletrack trails up there - definitely lite-bike territory. Sub-650 size, smaller is better.
