Yeah, I know...freaky-deaky dutch...

That means they're coming from san fernando or somewhere north of LA so will probly ride hwy 2 and pickup dirt at Silverwood or Cleghorn off the 15.

Normally there's a meetup time, location, general routing, and type of bikes and skills so peeps can decide to make it or not. Maybe there's hope for this one yet.

Where's Matt when you need 'im.

OK, herding cats.

I'm semi-newbish. I'll be in the 990R. Street-worn knobbies, (so I look stylish at Starbucks) and I fucking hate sand.

I can camp, have lightish backpacker gear. I'm not much into motels. I avoid campfires as they tend to draw idiots.
I once rode the Malcolm Smith No Whimps ride for big bikes lead by two children on 950's who proceeded to drag my old ass through every damned water crossing steep uphill off-chamber, slick switchback in three counties.
I'd spent the day before being whipped to death at a dirtbike school where a few laps of a MX track served to use up what energy I might have had left and filling my leg muscles with lactic acid.
It was wonderful. You know that kind of sore where you can't touch your quad without shooting white-hot flashing near fainting pain? And don't even think about bending either leg or flexing.
Perfect set up for a 100 miles of dirt, sand, water crossing and downed trees.
Then the fat kid fell on me.

If you're five foot flat you got zero chance of getting even a toe down on flat ground. Downhill side you are Jack of Jack n Jill fame and your ass be tumbling down the hill.
I was at the bottom of the hill as it was the only spot left. The big BMW adventure flicked me like a booger when that kid, (middle aged man) flew into me on my blind side.

So, I'll have hard side cases on as my soft bags are up north someplace taking up space in a small closet a friend thinks is an apartment. You can park a 990 in his "livingroom, but only if you take it apart and carefully stack it.

I need some dirt riding. The cube walls are closing in, or at least breathing heavy.

Nothing set in stone, but basic idea was to leave early Saturday morning & set a meeting point. As much dirt as possible to BB & then depending on time get some type of loop in up there. Get a place to crash then shit, shave, shower & hit the town for cocktails & grub. Come Sunday, head home.

Btw, I don't herd cats
