I might be up for next weekend. I was supposed to go to Reno for Christmas (I have family up there), but things are very "up in the air" and I may not be going. If not, I'll be doing whatever I can to pass the time and forget that it's Christmas. :)

Meet at Sierra/Lytle Creek off the I15 at 9am. Forest/fire/powerline roads around the Cajon Pass area. Mostly easy stuff, but more mud, ruts, and washouts will provide some added challenges. Should be fun! I can provide tracks for >90% off-road route from 15/138 to Randsburg and back. Done that many times, but days are short this time of year. You would hafta hustle if you wanna get back before dark without hitting 395. -M

Do you guys have a space for a "really" newbie, I mean the first real off-road experience, with a 990?

You're gonna have your hands full on the big 990 if they do indeed plan to ride a lot of mud and it's your first time... The rest sounds doable. If you're gonna ride mud with the 990 and it's your first time off the pavement, at the very least you should be running something other than the stock Scorpion tires...
