Great report!

Now that the snow is here all I can think of is heading back to the canyons Looks like that'll happen in March.

Awesome ride report. Truly the adventure of a lifetime. I was on the edge of my seat, even though I already knew that you guys made it home safely.

Just think - if the tale is that good already, how good is it going to be after being told a few times?

Yes excellent adventure and report. I really like that it's inspiring to those who might be put off Mexico because of problems, to see that a large group sticking together, and having good back up can do just great. Thanks!

+1, Gunny! Outstanding, Bill; Saludos! I'd ride anywhere again with this group of guys, on or off road. In January I'll be putting a road ride to Carnaval 2012 in Veracruz on both www.fjrforum.com and www.azbeemers.org for same group of M/C Riders and their significant others. Can't wait to ride MEX con mis bueno M/C Amigos! Suerte, Papa Chuy

I did the Copper Canyon trip 3 times with Rosen’s Rides ’05, ’06 and ’07 with a group of friends from work and had a blast. We hit Batopilas and Urique each time but then switched up the rest of the trip, usually 7-8 days out and back to Creel. The last trip we went to Topolobambo on the coast and rode a little on the beach. Reading your report is letting me relive my trip.

Bill,

Great report and trip!!

I can't believe how well you remembered all the details.

I just finally got home to GA today. It's rainy and cold here. It's also means back to reality for me. Boy time goes fast when you're having fun!

Now if I can only figure out where the next year's ride is going to be.

I shouldn't be giving away my secrets but I took names and kept notes thoughout the trip.

I was talking to Skip after the trip and he wants to take a group to China in 2012. Maybe ride to the Mt Everest base camp in Nepal. Now there is something to have on the "bucket list".
If that is too far come up to the Great White North in September with the 990 and ride the Calabogie Boogie Dual-Sport version of the ride.
No assault weapons, I promise.

I knew there had to be a trick!

You're right I'm also thinking the China ride in 2012 would be the ride of the lifetime, I better start saving now.

I may just take you up on the Calabogie Boogie ride. The heck with the assault rifles, hopefully there won't be any snow up there yet, ah?

Nice ride

Funny, thing is I've riden with a few of these guys on other trips. Wish I had the time and money to go on that ride. Don, should be a life counselor...he has figured out to retire and ride his ass off!
