I've got a friends '81 DR250 in my garage right now, that is NOT the same carb as the one on his bike. His is the standard slide style carb, yours is a CV carb. Not very familiar with suzukis though, so maybe they used CV's on some of their bikes back then?!

I did get some parts for the card yesterday. I may work on installing that in the next few days.

How rude of me. I guess I should give some sort of update.

Progress has been rather slow. I did get the gasket kit in, along with some fuel hose. Well, it turns out that both are the wrong size, even though I ordered according to the manual.

I really have absolutely ZERO experience with carbs. To make it worse, when I got the bike, the carb wasn't attached. Usually when I learn to work on things, I'll take something off and put it on the same way I took it off. I can't in this case.

So, I dug up a set of measuring tools a mechanic buddy of mine gave me a long time ago. I think I'm taking this measurement right. If so, that means it's a 34 mm carb, right?

Yeah, that's the problem. The cost of getting it to you, even half-way, would probably be more than the bike is worth.

I may get around to fixing it...
