Plastic Key?
Ok so I finally went through all the stuff I got when I got my bike(used). Its been hard with trying to ride and being Mr. Mom(unemployed). Like just yesterday I did 100+ miles. 29 on the highway to my destination and 83miles home cross crossing and zig zagging through the back road and parks.AMAZING bike for that kinda stuff. Anyway back on topic for me.
Like I said I was just going through the stuff and found an extra key. Well, two actually but one is plastic. Is it an actual ignition key or just a just incase you lock the bars and lose your others. |

It was late and I didn't feel like going out to the garage to "just try 'em" and today I didn't care enough to try them before I set off for another day of riding. Did just shy of 200miles today
Observations I need some suggestions for: 1. TKC80 suck on the highway. It was weird my elbow felt the vibes more. They were buzzing pretty good. Order some Shinko 705s in a bit. 2. Seat certainly does suck for me. Wednesday I'm doing a big ride and will try a different short and pant combo. But seat suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking Alaskan Leather but just not sure. Anybody in ohio wanna go for a ride on Wednesday. |

The best place to ask this would be a regional forum.

Fuel level?
I know this has been covered on here, I even remember reading it a few months ago but can not for the life of me remember the specifics. I have just under 200 miles on this tank of fuel. It says 6 miles left in the range. So is that 6 miles and I'm stranded or 6 miles and I'm on reserve?
Thanks, I'm going to go try the plastic key now. |

6 miles and you are out of fuel. That feature isn't known for it's accuracy so...

I can't find the part number for the silver button head bolts that are used to secure the windscreen.
Mine popped off. Any help please?? ![]() The closest I got was "front panel carrier". |

my memory sucks
Ok. My memory sucks, I'll admit it. But is this normal?
Turn ignition key, gauges sweep, all the lights come on > go off. ABS stays lit (or blinks? Whatever. See, I told you.) Start bike > the yellow triangle stays lit for a few seconds combined with an 'engine' icon on the LCD display. Both go out after a few seconds. Did I not notice that before? Or is it a fault stored? 2011 model. |

My dealer told me it was an extra you can carry in your wallet in case you lose your regular key. You can walk through an airport metal detector with it. Seems kind of dumb to me.

I still haven't tried it yet but that is what I was thinking. I had a Chevy truck for awhile and it had a plastic key too.
