Side stand switch is misbehaving, or clutch pull switch is mis behaving.

switch

Thanks for the suggestions. Sidestand switch seems to be fine and I think the clutch adjustment is good so I'm gonna go with the microswitch. It was intermittent for a while but now it doesn't work at all

Nope I really want to know, I am getting motion pro to make me an extended one and instead of pulling mine to get a straight line measurement it would be nice if someone has one like yourself.

Suck, Bang, Blow is a faux biker bar in Myrtle Beach. I think that's the source.

Ok, my bike is an 09 and the clutch cables on the early years were found to be too short so that you'd run out of adjustment even tho the clutch was only half worn. I bought the new longer cable as I've run out of adjustment but got lazy and it has sat in the garage for 6 months. I blame winter.

New PN 32 73 7 721 819 F658/800GS's

Overall length end to end is 110 CM.
Overall length of Sheath is 102.5 CM

Good enough?

New 700GS sitting in garage, raining for a few days so can't just try it, search didn't ptoduce anything for me, soooo . . my stupid question . . with the new switchgear on the 700GS does the 700 retain the auto cancel turn signal feature of the 650?

Switchgear? It does turn off after you reach a certain speed or travel a certain distance after completing the turn, I cant remember which.

Thanks, good to know the feature is still there as a safety backup just in case I forget to cancel the signal myself, that's what I wanted to confirm.

Sounds like a great time to read your owners manual!

Read it the other day but didn't pick up this point . . that's why I did the search in here and tried Googling for the answer before posting (not my first rodeo) . . but I do appreciate your sarcasm ;-)

Really I'm just jealous cause I'm on the other side of the country in near flatland with freezing rain. And my bike is an '09.

I'm sure the 700 software is similar in that you can adjust your signal cancelling preferences with the BMW computer. When it's in for first service you can ask them to change it since it'll be hooked up anyway to change your service reminder. Should be a free change. It can cancel on time or distance and with a few different selections within each.

......and I'd rather be a smart ass then a dumb ass I always say.
