Pics installed ?? [ive seen the 70degree website] TL is installing one as we speak on his 570S...TL we need pics.

Does the 570 S have a Wide Ratio Tranny comparable to the EXC box ?? TL would be the guy to answer that question since he's a 2 Berg garage. Where ya at TL?

Mostly likely. The gear ratios of the FE450 are identical to those of the 08+ EXC's. I suspect the 570 is the same, but don't have a manual in front of me to check for sure, but I'd be mildly surprised if they were different. I think you can download the manual from the Husaberg web site to compare.

Actually, nevermind, I just noticed that the same manual covers both the 450 and 570, so they both have the same gear ratios, and are the same as the 08+ KTM EXC 450/530.

So the answer to your question is yes.

I love the lower 1st & 2nd with 5th & 6th [taller compared to the close ratio]

I miss my old 525 EXC Wide Ratio Tranny

Tarheel Wheeler or TL,
Can you can fill both tanks at the pump thru the main tank cap ??

Thanks Guys for your replies

Im sure the EFI uses a little of that wattage over a carb

I noticed the Bergs come with a 7 amp/hour battery compared to a 4a/h on the 530

Its gotta be better for aftermarket add-ons with these two Features

You fill both at the pump thru the main Berg tank fill cap. I'm told it takes a little longer since it has to run thru the fuel line.

Sometimes the question of durability is asked.

A couple of weeks ago I was down at my local KTM shop ('Berg Dealer as well!!). I was having a bit of a chat with the owner who was performing a routine service on a well used 09 570 'Berg. The body work is well scraped, showing signs of a hard trail use and a few falls. The gear lever is very well worn and the brake lever shows signs of solid hits with hard objects (trees & rocks etc)

This bike has just over 12,000ks on the clock and the engine has never apart. The owner also has a set of motard wheels and regularly like to chase sport bikes through the twisties near where I live - this would be good fun indeed!!

This gives me great confidence in the durability of my own FE450 - I clearly don't ride as hard as this guy and his bike has withstood the flogging he has given it!!

Winter time calls!

Hey TWheeler and BDog,
Just got back last night from a Colorado Ski trip.

I have been running really low on wrenching time and have not started the install of the 70 degree tank on my FE570S. From reading the instructions it fills from the main tank. I hope to get it completed in the next few weeks, I am waiting on a fan kit to come in so I will only have one tear down.

I have never rode a 525 EXC, so I can't say that the gearbox is the same. I have barely ridden my 570 since I got it, but it feels like it will pull much harder than my 09 FE450. I understand that the gear box on the FE450/570 are the same, I think they may be the same as the XCWs.

I did drop the front sprocket to a 13. I want to ride it some before I change the rear 42, just to figure out the right sprocket for D/S duty. I suspect a 45 to 48 may be the size, but I don't think that I want to go as low as a 50 for highway work.

The FX 450 has different ratios from the FE570

Call or email Bart Hayes at Genuine Dirt Racer Products. They'll hook you up with springs over the phone, or you can package up your stuff and send it to them. Also had good luck with Trail Tricks in the past, but Bart and GDR are seriously good with Bergs. TL can attest to GDR's reputation.

WP Suspension

TW is correct, the guys at GDR have been great on the WP suspension and they are a Husaberg dealer too. They recently got the hook with WP, here is the press write up:

"Genuine Dirt Racer products, subsidiary of Powersport Grafx LLC, announces that they are now the US representative for WP suspension Austria Gmbh.
The creation of WP Racing USA is a great next step for the future of our company."
