From Larry's SPOT tracker, looks like he finished the race on his trick Berg. Well done Larry!

On a sad note one moto rider, Jimmy Stocker, died in the race, hit by a Trophy Truck.

I heard he was doing well, a mutual friend is down there with him, but had a head gasket or something blow on first day and has been doing the race on his stock backup bike...

H2O Pump Seal

Hey Husabros, 2010 FE570 here.

Water pump weep hole now leaks with coolant. Need to order shaft seals and pump gasket. I'll also be doing the weephole hose mod.

Haven't had to order parts for this ride yet, I would love your suggestions on where to order.

Thanks in advance for your input.

On-line parts

I've been using these guys, so far no problems and quick shipping.

Damn! Just jinxed myself! Got an email after I wrote this to tell me that one of my parts is back ordered for a week! Oh well, that is a first and still recommend them.

+1 on the CycleBuy inventory and fast, fast shipping (same day most instances). Have not been offered any discount from list price there, don't know about any available. If you are a member of KTMTalk, you can get a 10% discount from Munn racing. No free freight but does ship quick and has lots of inventory. 80+ % of the Berg parts carry the same KTM part number.

Another KTM shop: http://www.surdykeyamaha.com/

Parts have been cheaper here than most.

www.ktm-parts.com gives a 10% discount if you sign up for their website... shipping is usually fast but not as transparent as cyclebuy.

see how the splines kind of flare out right at the end? i don't know if new countershafts look like that already (e.g. that flared bit is meant to stop the sprocket coming off if you lost the bolt), or if it is a sign of a worn countershaft?

just figured you might have an idea since you bought a brand new one to fit.

by the way, did you wind up fitting a cush hub? liking it?
Looking like you have some wear to me. Mine is currently straight all the way down. No flare. Better hurry up with the Cush hub!

Splines look ok, but you need a new countershaft seal kit.
