Called my DMV...

I gave them the vin # and they told me it can be registered for street use, the certificate of origin is listed as Motorcycle not OHV.

Does anyone know if the ergonomics are the same between the Husaberg 450 and the KTM 450 (seat to peg)?
Make sure they throw in a spare fuel pump.

So that would tend to imply that the seat to peg distance on the 'berg is a tad shorter than that of the KTM, probably about .4 inches, or less than 1/2 inch.

Of course, the flip side of that is that the 'berg gives you a little bit more ground clearance.

You can probably find some aftermarket stuff to lower the pegs if you found that to be a problem.

I find the seat to bar postion on the berg to be a lot better then on my 690 but the seat to pegs distance is cramped. I need to get some lowering pegs and could use about 1" rise on the bars. Right now I ride it as it is and just sit down a lot.

I want to play !!! Fe450 Just got it a few weeks ago. I live in NYC , the bike is from Illinois. Title states MOTORCYCLE under body type. Had no problem getting plates for it.

I started ordering some bits for it and can't decide on a skid plate or rad guards. Anyone have this one http://www.elineaccessories.com/ecom...kid-plate.html ??

Which rad guards do you guys recommend ? Bullet Proof ?? Husaberg ones ?

What is the purpose of removing the ball in the gas cap? Venting issues ?

Thanks
Matt

Other than the frame mod on HUB, has anyone else fitted an oil tank or cooler to their Bergs yet?

Any one have bottom end problems yet?

Using a 390 for not quite what it was designed for, as in longer rides and bitumen link roads, if it works fine will probably change over to the 570 for the same thing. Would like a bit more oil either in a tank or cooler to take it up to at least 2 litres total.

Took my newtome 09 fe450 out on its first full ride yesterday at the louden classic. It rained all day and the trails started out dry and were a slimy soup by the end of the day. The bike was so easy and fun to ride that I jumped into almost all the hero sections. The bike had amazing traction all day and I clawed through sections with easy where others struggled. I still need to check my suspension sag, put on a steering stabilzer, lower the footpegs, and put a small riser under the bars. Thr seat was actually not too bad but could be better.

I have one on my WR250R and can attest these seats are comfortable. Each Renazco Racing seat is made to order. http://www.renazco.com/
