Maybe that was a blessing in disguise..
You might have a bit luck in the US or UK ln getting a white pearl RS. I think they did a 60th anniversary model for the US only.

Mine is one of about five or so that made it to Australia. I think mine is the only one left the going in Aus.

All I need is a tank, and the rest of the bike and I can have one too! Mine will have black wheels though

Actually, I'd rather have a red or green or silver one. The white one is a good-looking bike, but I don't see myself on one. All I meant by my previous post is that a seat was the only sign I found on eBay that RS's even exist.

I've see quite a few Aussie RSes with the blanked-off front lower fairing. Thought the open louvered one was the one spec'd for hot climes?

Most twin shock Aussie RS came with an oil cooler.

I appreciate the info, and I would love to have an RS, but I cannot conceptualize a vehicle I'd go to those lengths to get.

I have seen what appear to be good buys on Craig's List lately. Check out the Craig's thread here.

I've bought 2 full RS fairings, with brackets, from ebay.de in the last 12 months or so. Both excellent condition. One for me, one for a buddy.

Our OZ$ is doing well atm, so it's affordable.

I appreciate you wouldn't buy the whole bike from ebay.de.
