I'm in

I sold my KDX220 to buy an '08 FE450. Only rode it for a bit today (maybe 1/2 gas tank)... damn, this thing is light and fast! And tall- I can just barely touch the ground (a LOT taller than my TE610). The height, combined with the suicide kickstand is going to make for some embarrassing moments.
I really can't believe how light the front end feels (the 650 must be scary).
I'm pretty psyched to get this thing set-up and ride.

To use a 650 as a normal Dirt bike is sometimes scary, on single track tight stuff its just plain stupid open desert is awesome.

One of the thnigs I enjoy most about my 650 is the expressions on peoples faces after they test ride it. Many aren't game. 63 hp at the knobs and 122 kgs blinged and wet to go.

Almost 10,000 kms now and a cam chain and DVSK kit as preventative maintenance, and Delo 400 <> 5 hrs. Bullet proof so far, huge fun

And my 98 is still going strong too. I couple of stators, and some valve seats very early on and 33,000 kms.

Honestly Im pretty sure my 03 was sorted by the time i let it go I think my 2010 FE had a lot of bad influence on the decision... If i got another it would have to be an 04 or newer though just to be able to get some of the parts no way would I buy another 70 degree bike though

I'm so glad they saved my 650 (had a prang with a car and they wanted to write it off), after 4 months off with a busted foot I put nearly 300km on it in on the weekend. Forgot how much of a weapon this thing was, you can't but smile everytime you crack the throttle. I too would like to see some photos of guys loaded up for camping, I finally bit the bullet and joined the DSMRA and plan on attending as many rides as possible, just trying to work out how to set the bike up. I'm considering making up a luggage rack for the longer rides if anyone has one I'm just chasing design ideas.

I'm surprised this thread isn't bigger, seeing as how it covers 20 years of 'bergs.

I'm loving my new (to me) FE450... it's so much fun.
It's like an accidental-wheelie-machine.

20 years of 'Bergs even....

That 450 is a great bike. I liked many things about my old 550 Husaberg more than my 2010 Husaberg. Hard to beat the 2004-2008 bikes, especially the last couple model years.

first 250 hours were so fun i figured a new bike would just be a waste of $$ . there was not one thing i didnt like about my 550 except it was worn out

Understand completely Bob. My 2005 'Berg survived my crash in Colorado a couple years ago on the Force ride that nearly did me in, but then got stolen back here in Texas. It was recovered but totaled, which led to my 2010, which I love but am not nearly as attached to as I was my 2005 550.

Seeing all these pictures of clean previous generation Husabergs is awesome.
