Where headed, how far, how fast? As you figured out, a fast rider I am not.

Dunno. Somewhere not too far. I have to be back in DC by 4:30. I'm not the fastest, so no biggie there.

Pics

I was at Sheez at 9:00am and almost left when StoryMitchell showed up with his /5 & sidecar. We headed up 50 a ways and then out the scenic byway Shimpstown (something like that) and then hit Blue Ridge Road and along the first mountain ranges of the Shenandoah.

Story taught me how to ride the sidecar. It looks like a motorcycle, smells like a motorcycle, but it isn't a motorcycle.

Moo.

After a coupla hours I notice a "grinding sound". My rear brake pads are toast. I'm metal on metal.

I figure out that my only option is to get my ass over to Battley's to get some new pads. I ride for more than an hour and manage to practically not use my brakes the entire time.

Lotsa Harleys at Battley's. Jeez, what a scene. I look like a nylon industry representative walking in there.

Thanks for a great ride Story
