Hello again everybody.

Day 12. Prokosko jezero to Mostar. 150 kms.

Today we ride from Travnika mountain to Mostar

Our camp on Prokosko jezero

There are lots of tracks on Travnika area

In the first part of the day, we took some technical tracks, sorry no time for pictures .

After 4 hard hours we were very thirsty

More gunned houses

When we leave the mountains and took the road to Mostar, the hot was incredible, about 40º c.

We find a nice B&B near Mostar old town. Our B&B parking

In old town, some gunned houses are used like bars or art gallerys.

The famous "new" bridge, the old was destroyed during war

Some nice views from Mostar old town

Tipycal shops

More views

Good dinner near river.

more to come

This day we ride a very nice twisti roads, mixed with some off-road sections, and we cross some famous places like: Piva canyon and Durmitor mountanins in our way to turistic Zablack.

Loading the bikes in our good and recommended B&B.

thermal, or nuclear plant? Forbidden photos

Some nice views of mountainous Bosnia

We visit this spectacular war monument in Tjentiste

more close to monument, you can see those "picasso" style faces.

Not sure, but I think here was a battle and died 3.301 soldiers....

Abandoned hotel near, ex winter olympic place

Piva canyon

New or old road? old of course

The very impressive Durmitor mountains

I saw this mountain before, here on ADV. but without grass

The views from our campsite for next two days in Zablack

EUSKALHERRIA,

Love the pictures; bring back lots of memories. I was there in the 90’s with the UN and than twice with NATO. Loved the people, food, local beers, and with that landscape it’s a great place for a motorcycle adventure. Not sure if this is the best place in Europe for trail riding because of like you said .... “The Fuck###ng mines”..... Hope you both had a great time, cheers.

I was there with UN too in 90`s. You re right about Local people, food but maybe i had a bad luck with local beers. I drunk Bansko pivo and Karlovatsko pivo, both once and that was it. Sorry . of course it´s a matter of taste but still. No hard feelings.
Well this Euskalherrias story is soo good. Brings good memories for me too.
