Cool BMW, awesome pictures...I have a request...

Could you pipe some of that beautiful sunny 70 degree weather north by northeast for us shivering inmates?

Wow, cool pictures and bike. That doesn't look like any place I've been in Texas.

Love that area. My son leaves end of Feb for basic AF training in San Antonio. Grads from basic about Easter. My wife and I plan on being there, then hanging around for a few days. I'll head up into the Hill Country at that time. Hope the weather is as nice then. Great Pics, but I'm really jealous

Springtime is a great time to be in the Hill Country. Then it's time for the Wildflowers to be popping up. Last spring was great.

We need some rain badly so next spring likely won't be as good.

Springtime IS great. I've been 2x before and both time in late March/early April. Neither time with a bike, but I hope to change that this time.

Great springtime pics as well.

We have more than our share of ugly scenery, but a few awesome locales like the Hill Country can make riding in Texas a real pleasure.

Great pics! I really need to get back down that way.

To me there is no ugly part of Texas. I have ridden most parts and I find beauty in the whole state. Well except for right around Lubbock, but around there the sky is the scenery. All in ones perception. To see your eyes must be open. Mine are, but then again, i am a visual person/photgrapher.

I agree, open your eyes and your mind and you can pretty much find beauty anywhere. Took this one last Sunday. Sometimes the sky is all you need:

Apparently I worded my post very poorly.

Oh well, still loved your photos.

I've been riding every day up till these last 2 days here in east TX. It was 29 yesterday and 30 this morn. I rode to work last week when it was 30 to 33 in the morn's. But my fingers suffered, body is sweating, but need to get some heated liners for the hands! Plan on riding tomorrow, suppose to be in lower 50's in AM.

Thanks for sharing! I have borrowed from your report in my own trip planning for next year. Check the first map here, I would welcome any further suggestions!

Nope. You didn't.

Sometimes I have to remind myself to find the beauty in the parts that I too thought were kinda ugly. Certainly in some parts I have to look harder than in others.

I would find a way at Campwood TX to stay on RM337 all the way to Medina then head up SH16 to Fredericksburg.
