Balkanezia

Hello to everybody !

I am new to the whole story here on ADV and I would like to start with warmer topics.
here I'll tell you how me and my twin brother achieve a dream.

in the future I will be known as Nordy and my twin brother as tuareg.

here, you and we together go through several countries of the Balkan Peninsula.
The starting point is from Serbia ( location Studenica ), Montenegro, Albania, Montenegro again, a bit of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and we ended up in our home Serbia.

before the departure I had to replace the front tire on my bike.

first my tire ...

now no longer a front Bridgestone Battlax BT-92 120-60/17 but Metzeler Roadtec Z 6 in the dimension 120-70/17. it I was able to get for 20 euros.

I replaced the rear tire before the previous trip.
It is Tourance EXP - Metzeler and I managed to find a used on a price of 15 euros.

and the both of as had to deal with welding handles.

This story begins in August of 2010, where after a long time of hard work here
( tuareg )

we managed to collect the 150 euros each and the first of August to embark on a journey.

@ andyff013

a friend I never knew how beautiful my country and the other until I sat down on a motorcycle and went there.

The Balkans as for the extremes in the middle, not rough to Mongolia and too easy as a walk through the park.

in any case you must contact me when you come to this region.

@ drmracni

you are the MAN !

since we are guys from the action, we decided to go the back roads and pass boredom on the main road.

many surprises hiding there, hiding in an unknown, it is what drives us both.
Perhaps the painful experience to go through all this but so long remembered.

some time we ride in the opposite direction, towards the north, the city Ivanjica for the fuel.
now riding south toward the mountain Golija and nature park.

We pass by the Roman bridge from the XV century.

not knowing that we are passing the Roman bridge were already well-drawn with the imaginary trajectory, the small winding road led us further and further away from the desired direction..

until we met an old grandmother ...
we rely on the slogan: "Look at the map - farmers ask." without GPS.
but each technique has its interesting side. in specific cases, mostly fighting with the "code". For example, when we meet villagers and ask him for direction he starting :"with one wrinkle to the right, with red roof left after the third confuse right ...." we try to remember the first two turns, we manage the rest.

people! all the codes and hand movements. I thought that the "Tuareg" to get beaten.

we find the key, we made a mistake the way!

go back ! go back !

thing that scares is that we do not know how much back and where we missed the turn ....

but we enjoyed the ride and found the old bridge, which is good.
let's go , let's go.

we are not fast riders, enjoy the outdoors, preserve the machine and absorb everything like a sponge, because it, time never enough.

when daylight lasted a year , and than we would not have enough time.

here it is the turn, the board with an inscription which we have ignored for some reason when we passed here some time ago.

just in case I ask...
new acquaintances and new, fresh information.

gentleman was a nudist, tourists and adventurers !

ride along the path that has been used many many years ago, to which we resemble the stone outlines of.

roof of the houses in this area is covered with stone slabs.
seems to be the only way to preserve from the strong icy rain that falls here.

we're almost at the top of the road leading over the mountain.
pass a pond that revive only after heavy rain.

why are we here in this beautiful place with lots of flowers in the meadows around us, where butterflies flutter freely on the motorcycle and where the sun gently caressing their languages of our helmets ....

Because we are once again mistake a turning !!!
but again we not complained, we were good., and around as is warm country side ... with flowers, butterflies, and cold beer to be hiding somewhere in this house ....

jump to the track, we need a nice way to make up time and get it. and this is one of the most beautiful that I ever ride. but we are afraid that it is not a fake mirage

not a surprise. We expect the gravel road.
We just are not going to hand it, I m on hard-suspension, and the blinky does not have a gram of oil in his fork.

"ready to race "

little vacation place ... over winter.

and then starts hell for both of us.

half hour in first gear on near 40 degrees Celsius.
hell for bikes, hell for as !

to slow, but progress...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWy8cnbZTL8

here our road no leading further up. a little cooling machine and continues ....

I know that many ADVriders prefer to tread water and intentionally go through it.
we agreed to leave the bath when we get to the sea.

when the sun warms and the grass will warm.....
up a horse to ride ....
head up for the pride...
far away, into the unknown realm...

in front of us is a Duga Poljana - in literally translate - long field, a place where cattle graze alone.

ask for direction again !

We are now on the Pester plateau where the Muslim religion appear mean.

dusty roads and the ever-present risk of falling as we continue the same speed as the asphalt road.
risk is the overpass cars in the middle of the road with loose stones that could easily lead to a slipping front wheel .. As many know of his skin.
it almost happened to me when I was overtaking. it seems that the front wheel of 17 inches is not equal to the challenge.

roads that curve and take us up and down, we felt like in a fairy tale.

let it be known that we were here.
tuareg

me...

and then I decided to check my speed on the gravel road.

"Pester highway" and I on the end of road ride at a speed of 120 km / h ( 75 mile )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDdaJOKe5es

At that point, that motorcycle was for me the missile " land to land ".

and, start to a series of villages along the road. abandoned houses and half-built is nothing new.
very low standard of living in this part of Serbia.
