NYD Ride: Sandbridge Market 9-9:30am to Jeb's for Lunch.

Game On. My bike is rideable and the weather is looking promising.

I verified the Sandbridge Market will be open. Let's Meet at 9:00 and get on the road by 9:30. Avoiding Freeways and tooling the side roads will eat about 2 hrs.
We can avoid all freeway, or just use a little bit to get around the Dismal Swap which looks like this:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...1,0.98259&z=11

Sound Good?

Bridge out? Can't find anything online. No worries, we can use Princess Ann to Pungo Ferry.

IN.

Wouldn't mind starting a lil bit closer to home though. It's an hour and 20 minutes to get to the start point for me.

Any other peninsula dwellers going on this ride? We could meet up and ride over to sandbridge.

I'm in North Suffolk, a good 45 minutes to the start myself.

You've got the right idea to hook up locally to ride to the start.

I'm going to be at Frank's Truck stop at Bower's Hill for my first cup of Joe at 7:30 or so, if anyone wants to ride to Sandbridge with me. Figure on rolling out of the parking lot at 8:00 sharp.

Still in

IF i can make it out of my court, the court and Bow Creek Blvd are still iced over, but I'll see if the fat girl (Connie) can do it.

I'm in for this ride. Sandbridge is almost in my backyard. That route looks nice, some of my favorite roads.

As for the Blackwater Bridge, there is a detour that uses Fentress and winds around a bit and pops you back out on Blackwater about a mile below the bridge. So the route would look more like this.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...,1.229095&z=10

See you FF's at the market at 0900.

Happy New Year!

Okay, Weather is looking good, but since I'm not local to VB, I don't know the condition of the detour route. It also tacks another 10 minutes on the trip and I was hoping to keep it at 2hrs.

I pulled the route to Princess Ann, down to Pungo Ferry to avoid Blackwater Rd. Makes it 2:06, but Ya'll can ride either route - no rules for this ride other than to enjoy.

Upstate (and anyone else that just wants to meet for lunch)

We should be getting to Jeb's between 11 and 11:30. Lisa said they would be closing early and in the odd event we have a delay, this should still give us plenty of time to get there.

Hmmm, looks like our route will take us right by the current Hampton Roads tag, maybe we could get a New Years day group grab?

Sounds like a plan to me. I haven't been following the tag game lately and didn't realize we'd be going by.
