Thanks for that. I saw that Revzilla sells Spidi as well. I will try one on once the warmer weather gets here.

Spidi ERGO 05 jacket
Following several requests we received over the last few weeks, we thought it was a good idea to post some infos on much talked about ERGO 05 jacket.
![]() ![]() Spidi Ergo Jacket set the standard for extreme bike adventure in 1998 and had been then renewed through this revisited and improved version. The new Spidi Ergo 05 simply represents the best for bike travellers and adventurers. The jacket is made with Teflon treated Cordura 500 Comfort, with special, high resistant, but softer Toray Tenax inserts under the arms for great comfort even amid the most extreme weather conditions. There are numerous waterproof pockets, air vents, volume adjustments, reflex areas and the Spidi Step In Clothing system for different climatic conditions thanks to the possible combinations of internal jacket and lining. The new concept, multi pocketed removable quilted lining features anti water intrusion areas, wool neck warmer, aluminium inserts and a pants/lining joint zipper. The Ergo is also equipped with an exclusive removable inside jacket that can be worn as an independent item when not riding. This top-end jacket is equipped with the exclusive Biomechanic CE protectors to guarantee great comfort while keeping high safety standards, coupled with a 'Warrior series' back protectoralready in place. The new standard for radical bike adventurer is set. Now available in Spidi Ergo Robust sizes (for sizes raging from L up to 6XL).

Well, I just received the above jacket and I'm duly impressed, the fit and finish is excellent. The rain and thermal liners will be perfect for early spring and late fall riding, and there are lots of vents to keep the air flowing through the jacket, lots of zippered pockets, water proof zippers in the internal liner, which can be worn as a walk around jacket off the bike..
And the detachable name tag is a nice touch, especially when you're riding with a group and you keep being called Mike when your name isn't Mike! ![]() Spidi has a top notch quality product and if you get a chance to check them out, give them a try. Sizing is on the small side, I'm usually a Medium, but the Large fits me well.

My Spidi jacket is a Max Tour S2...finally found the name written on it somewhere.I've been wearing it for over 10 years now,it doesn't look flash anymore - but the only thing failing is the white membrane in the sleeves. It'll do me for a few years yet.

Max Tour S2 has been one of our first "Granturismo serie" jackets, made to ride for many years in every condition, featuring a lot of new innovations for that time (we're talking about 1990...). Why don't you post a picture of this jacket? Is it the green/purple version? Let me know, our technicians here in Vicenza are very curious about that! I bought a Spidi vented jacket with the H2OUT waterproof liner back in 04-05 at the Cleveland Bike Show. This is one of the best fitting jackets that I've ever had. Quality stuff

Hi Matteo - I had several years of use from a Spidi MONDO (?) jacket with sewn in waterproof membrane. I destroyed it sliding down the road and can't find a suitable replacement. Is there a modern equivalent? Or would you recommend the venture or similar?

A not very good photo of my well used, but very usable Spidi Max Tour S2.Not 10 years of everyday use,but it's been used in all conditions, sun, wind, rain, dust and mud.I've got an Acerbis enduro jacket, but hardly use it,the Spidi is just so usable.

Mondo Jacket has been quite popular 5-6 years ago. A modern equivalent is Voyager 2 if you want a 2-layers, or Venture if you prefer a 3-layers (better for 4-seasons riders). If you better prefer a High Visibility one, you go with all-new Voyager H2, featuring CE certified EN471 High Visibility fabric. Matteo De Vito Spidi Marketing Dept Vicenza - Italy

Matteo, any chance you can get some real life pics of the "Multitech" pressure suit / jacket? This one has my interest for summer dual sporting. Thanks!
