Yeah, I'm a (according to Wayne) and I haven't been able to get out there and do much these past several months. Maybe if I don't leave town...

folks are asking about the Whiting Field OHV Project, so I figured i'd go ahead and dredge this thread back up to the surface.

I was there weekend before last, everything is going along well, but it needs to be ridden in. if anyone needs the email to sign up for the trailbuilding crew, post up here and i'll get you the info.

in case you haven't kept up to date heres the deal:
you get in touch with the trail architects (local riders) who will give you an application (basic info like name and address and bike you ride), you send it back and then recieve a permit to be on the land. once you receive this permit, you can come out whenever you like (groups usually meet sat/sun) to maintain the trails. generally you'll want a pair of hand shears at least, and you can just ride the trails and eliminate face slappers. as far as new trail construction, you have to talk to someone above my paygrade on that.

You dont quit riding when you get old, you get old when you quit riding.
I don't always ride street bikes, but when I do I prefer VStroms

I went to that website tried calling them the lady transfere me to blackwater management that lady then transferred me to mike Hudson who didn't pick up the 3 or 4 times I called. Is there any direct line of contact with someone of authority out there? Trying to go ride this weekend wouldn't mind helping cut some trails. that's what makes it nice and somebody has to do it so we can all ride em. I'm more than happy to help.

Check you private messages ...

I believe there is no riding or cutting going on at this time at the HOV site.
