Helped with setup for a local trials today. And as a reward, we got to ride one of the new Ossa's.

spotted for my wfie early in the morning
My wife and I run a horse rescue making for morning and evening chores that need to be done every day. This morning I had chores to do and then had to go on the road for a few hours getting work done. So this morning at 7:30 my wife AMCross says "why dont we go ride for an hour and then I will take care of chores so you can leave ontime"
In the pasture there is a tall floating left hand turn that scares her. She talked me into spotting as she tried it about 10 times until she had a clean. This was after falling twice. I am pretty sure I have the coolest wife ever. |

1) as tight as I can, close to full lock, try to get as much lean as possible, I also try to do it in a ditch so I have walls to go up and down
2) I can sometimes do this with a running engine on soft ground 3 - 4) challenging on flat ground much less anything rough. 5) trying to stop doing that. 6) Closest I do is try to ride 1 footed and/or leaning. Lean the bike over but go straight. I found this gives me a better feel for what the bike wants to do. If you never tried it, you may be a bit surprised at what happens when you try it. At the moment it is all a mute point. The knee won't let me do anything at the moment. I ain't risking blowing out the 2-week old ACL rebuild. I can't even do a flight of stairs right now. In another month or two I hope to get back on the bike again. |

One of 'em anyway. Miss Bitters (my long-suffering SO) practicing today at SanYo. She ran through a whole tank of gas in 2-1/2 hours practicing while NMTrailboss and I sat around and talked. Working the wheelie practice. This was actually last Sunday - ![]() Getting confident on the bigger stuff - ![]() ![]() She did really well today, while I snoozed most of the morning. Great job, MB!!

Here's a few more of Miss Bitters working on those skills today!
![]() She's really been working hard in the past month on all the basic techniques. Trying some steps... ![]() ![]() ![]() Trying to get the correct body positioning for downs... ![]() ![]() Working on the turns... ![]() No way she would have tried this down three month ago!! ![]() Awesome practice today Kristi! You've made huge improvements in the past month!!!

Brewtus did some work on steps on OJ today too. Amazing what the ole' Reflex will do if you don't think and just twist the throttle!
![]() ![]() We have this gap set many times at San Ysidro...not too bad, but a little spooky. I'd never try it on the 'Flex though. Love the way the rear tire is gripping around the rock (or just flat...not sure which!). ![]() Another step with a gap in the same area. ![]() A few more shots working in the same practice area. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This little dude watched us ride for a little while... ![]() ![]() Finished the day with a little log jumping. ![]() ![]() Pretty good riding today Brewtus!!
